    Wallaroos

Three Seven's players included in World Cup squad. Ten from Queensland but only one from my club now (Alisha Hewett) - looks like Caroline Fairs from GPS has dropped out. http://www.rugby.com.au/news/2017/06/28/00/37/wallaroos-world-cup-squad

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

I reckon the scrum could be the key for us up against Uni this week. It is one area that Uni look pretty weak in with not much firepower in their prop department.

    Round 1 2017 Rebels v Blues

Surely the entire Rebels coaching team has to be on the chopping board - McGahan is a blowhard and his assistants belong with amateur teams.

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

Magnificent new facilities at Wests - the envy of all of us. Why don't we cut some of the emotion out of this question about cost v return and look at the numbers? Hutchinson say on their website the construction contract was $7.3 million - now one of those who claims to be involved (Homer...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

Heard Wests got belted by QLD U/20's last weekend - 7 tries to 1 and that Norths were much more competitive against QLD U/20's yesterday. Anyone see these matches and how did it end up for Norths? Are Norths on the rise and Wests headed for bottom again or....?

    Brisbane Global Rugby Tens

Exhibition matches on Saturday and Sunday are QLD Women v NSW Women. Queensland Women play NSW women at 5:30pm on Saturday February 11 and at 4:40pm on Sunday February 12. Queensland side to compete at Brisbane Global Rugby Tens: Forwards: Cheyenne Campbell (Redlands), Liz Patu (Wests)...

    Brisbane Global Rugby Tens

If QRU assigned, why no Wests? One of the bigger junior clubs!

    Women's Rugby Union

Confirmed as QLD v NSW Women at the Global 10's - two matches, one on Saturday and then another on the Sunday. QLD have apparently picked a squad and started contacting players in last couple of days. Training starts early January.

    Women's Rugby Union

Heard today there's no NZ team involved - it's going to be QLD Women v NSW Women with two matches to be played - one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday.

    Women's Rugby Union

Two women's teams apparently being discussed for an exhibition match at Brisbane 10's in February. One from Oz, one from NZ perhaps?

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

Confirms Tim Smith at Easts - another player Wests have failed to retain. How many does that make it with their props leaving as well?

    Women's Rugby Union

Wallaroos drawn in pool with France and Ireland plus winner of Oceania at 2017 world cup. Dodged New Zealand, England and Canada in their pool which is a positive.

Am hearing that we have picked up an experienced coach at professional level to replace Dammers. Also told today an experienced forwards coach from 'out of town' will take over as head coach at Wests with Pat Byron moving to backs coach role as he's too busy with family and school job to...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Dammers took a team that made the grand final in 2013 and turned it into a team that missed the finals in both years he was in charge. 2015 GPS won 6/16 and this year won 7/16. Not good enough and thank god change has occurred! Year before Byron took over, Wests won 9/18. Byron's first year...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Oh shit, now I find out UQ got a clean sweep against us yesterday! All three GPS Premier teams missed the finals  Time for a big clean out at Yoku Road me thinks. Thank god Dammers is gone - he has a lot to answer for!

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Actually, just saw the table after end of regular season. UQ 73 points - 12 points clear of second place and +251 points differential compared to +160 for second place. No wonder we couldn't crack them yesterday. What a contrast to the wooden spoon holders with only 17 competition points...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Ah well, at least we fought hard against UQ yesterday. But, gees they're good. Their forwards absorbed all the physical stuff we dished out (which to be honest was a little borderline at times) and then came back and belted us even harder. They are such a young team but god, they are tough...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

The clubs had to answer this question in 2013 as part of funding discussions with ARU/QRU. They revealed that Norths (cash), Souths(cash) and GPS(cash and use of cars) were the only ones who had provided any payments. Was surprised at the time that Sunnybank hadn't paid anyone given their...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

I think players leaving will actually help you Bulldog. Yes, they are quality players but the combinations clearly aren't working and there are a lot of unhappy players. Unhappy players are never going to play well so best for them to join the clubs they've already started approaching and...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2016

Appears you may get your wish Realdeal with an exodus under way from Wests. Will give the 2016 Colts a better chance of playing Premier Grade next year so the club will have to focus on retention of those young players and try to rebuild over next few years.
