RWC 2015 Final - Australia v New Zealand, Twickenham, Sunday 1 November, 3:00 AEDT

No it does not. It didn't count in 2003, so I don't think it'd count this weekend.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

The light dark blue line-up next year is looking far more dependable than this year's. Although there were some strong spots in the 2013 team they were let down by an inconsistent halves partnership that lacked chemistry, unstable leadership and the season-ending injury to Patrick Morrey...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

I'm not so sure. Returning in 2014 will be Lachlan Lanskey, Tom Sly, Patrick Dooley from the starting line up, with fringe players Eddie McCorley, Matt Forsyth, Nyoah Rosmarin and Harry Egan also returning. Not a whole lot of experience there. 1. No depth at prop. Likely to see two new...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

It's against the spirit of the game. Terrace are always respectful when opposition kickers are taking shots at goal. I'm a Grammar boy and even I can acknowledge that. To see a professional rugby player like Sautia deliberately attempt to throw someone off their game is disappointing.

Congratulations to Churchie on a solid display of Rugby on the weekend at Northgate. The game was a real contest with Outside Centre Isaiah Perese proving the difference in a dominant display. Grammar just couldn't contain him as he ran through the line time and time again. It was pretty clear...

Stop being a dickhead. Injuries have plagued Grammar all year. It happens. BBC won, BGS lost. Big deal.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

This is wrong. Tighthead prop Stuart McReight went down with a concussion and was about to be replaced with 16As player Lucas Ryles. Then he was switched with Tom Spencer (playing at blindside) instead. Tom Spencer has been playing front row all year. This is the first match he's played in the...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Very disappointing to see Grammar's fall from grace this year. They've descended quickly from a side that looked like contenders with a narrow, hard-fought loss against Nudgee in the 2012 Grand Final rematch, to a side who look to be fighting it out for this year's wooden spoon. Whilst the loss...

Marsden rested, not injured. Kemp unfortunately missed this weekends game due to family commitments. I'd say all will be back next week.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Completely agreed, the movement of the QLD GPS season to post-National Championships and the associated trials has rendered selection largely a matter of reputation. My status as a Grammar supporter will undoubtedly see many regard this post as jingoistic bias, but a clear highlight of this can...

Is it possible that NSW are just better than QLD?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

I'd say BGS will play consistently but won't perform to last year's standards. Emtage and Gardner are phenomenal coaches and whilst some star players are returning, the loss of Greene, Birch, Blackhurst, Gilbert, Radford, Starr-Thomas etc. (the most underrated player in BGS' squad- if he hadn't...

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2013

Agreed, Knockers. I was personally shocked to see both Fielea and Cox miss out on selection for either QLD 1 or 2. I thought Fielea was the dominant inside centre in last year's GPS competition (with the exception of Jack Tuttle). Against BGS he looked like he would tear the defensive line open...

Lakehm Aiono (looshead prop), Michael Murray (hooker), Stuart McReight (tighthead prop), Dalton Cox, (lock), Patrick Morrey (openside flanker), Fergus Halliday (scrumhalf/flyhalf) and Matt Marsden (winger/fullback) have all been selected from BGS to compete at GPS trials this Saturday at...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

Once more on TSS. I know they've got a lot of their squad returning this year. 2. Jake Lyon 3. Sam Clifton 7. Luke Papworth 8. Evan Guttenbiel (Although I've heard rumours- unconfirmed- that he's being moved to loosehead) 10. Mitch Third 12. Nili Fielea 15/11. Isaac Nathan Plus I think...

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

My bad. But I guess it strengthens my prediction. The bulk of TSS's 2013 has already beaten Nudgee away from home. There's no reason they shouldn't improve with a home ground advantage. And Isaac Nathan, not Russell. I must have been thinking of Nate Russell from BBC (I think). My mistake.

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

TSS would definitely be the favourites. Only beaten by BGS and NC last year, they face both those teams at home- with a returning core squad from 2012. Guttenbiel, Third, Fielea, Russell are the standouts in my opinion. Last year's hooker was a standout in the few games I saw, is he returning?

    QLD GPS Rugby 2013

BGS 5 Dalton Cox BBC 10 Josh Bowen TSS 12 Nili Fielea NC 14 Tyrone Hussey? Those are the only numbers I'm sure of. All are returning 1st XV players of exceptional talent and all have achieved representative honours in the past. I'm certain all four are headed for monumental 2013's (barring...

QLD Schools - Trial Games and Selections 2013

The original post is asking for talk about the GPS, AIC and CSS teams for the trials. I only included GPS boys because I was predicting the GPS team. Obviously Wilkin and Fakaosilia will make the State (and most likely national) team. Keep an eye out for Morrey and Guttenbiel though. TSS...
