May, Tilley, Hayman, Smith and Rice are brooks stand outs for me. A few of the year 11s in the back line could all push for spots as well. It is hard to tell with them yet to play any of the bigger CAS schools and a few boys in doubt for selection due to injury. It makes me very happy to see...
For Cranbrook I would say May(Backrow),Tilley(Second Row), Hayman(Prop), O'Reily(Second/Back Row), Smith(9) and Paukutoa(Centre/Outside Back). All impressed last year but would of needed to have strong off-seasons to really stand out this season.
Would not be suprising. The 16s had a great season last year and the 1sts didn't win a game so it would make sense to keep some of the chemistry/pairings. Taking risks wouldnt be a bad idea for Cranbrook.
Cranbrook will struggle with depth. They have quite a few strong players but similar to last year i worry that they will be unable to cope with injuries that are inevitable in every season. Hopefully May can make it through the year, he has a lot potential. The 16s really showed some great skill...
There is no doubt Cranbrook had a bad year this year, they had 5 front rowers who all received season ending injuries including Glastras who had a back injury at the start of the season. None of the boys played CAS last year except Oscar May who played in the 16s and had a double shoulder...
What a great CAS season! From a Brook perspective it wasn't the best season but it was still great to watch the boys go out every single week and give their all against teams very strong opposition. After every game it was great to see smiles from both sides and leaving the previous 70 minutes...

A few injuries from Cranbrook losing 2 or 3 starters from the Aloys game. I think their prop Barta and I also heard Rynolds is out aswell. Peter milios however should be returning after playing half a game in the 2s last week and hopefully Barker allow Tom Lamens to play.
Cranbrook's scrums is...
They would need a few extra pieces of equipment but wouldn't be very expensive. Especially at schools like Cranbrook, Knox and Barker where their fields are on site and have access to the schools wifi and power. Should definitely be something the schools should look into. Even just a single...
Surely a joke? Barker beat knox and narrowly lost to waverley. No matter the result against waverley next week they will either tie or beat knox in the competition. I do agree that Brook will be the underdogs of next year for sure.
Bit on the Cranbrook vs Aloys game.
First 5 minutes Cranbrook came out firing, gaining 2 penaltys and keeping possesion very well. They were awarded a penalty 30 out and decided to go for the 3 points. They missed and from there it was a downhill battle. As soon as Aloys got the ball they...
A few great games lined up for this weekend. My few thoughts on Brook Vs Aloys. Aloys beat Brook in the trials by 20 and since then Brook has lost 3 or 4 significant players however have put some dominant first half performances on Knox and Trinity. As much as I'd love for brook to come through...
Knox vs Cranbrook at Hordern in 2014 comes to mind, an amazing game and very memorable for any Cranbrook supporter. Cranbrook came back in the last play of the game to slot a penalty goal from near sideline and win the game. Cranbrook were the underdogs going in and those 3 points allowed them...
I was not there but can confirm that from reliable sources that it was a draw. It's schoolboy rugby and by just looking at the barker and waverley result we can all see that sometimes results don't go as predicted and teams forms can vary. Cranbrook tied, take it however you will but those boys...
I heard the 15-15 score as well for the 14A's. Many talking about it as that age group at Cranbrook are known not to be very strong but produced quite a strong result against a team that smashed them in the first round. The game was cut slightly short due to an injury but to the best of my...
