To add to Shortrep, I think High debaters are able to choose whichever one they would like to do, and CHS trials are very early as they have more training sessions than the other rep teams, so as a High debater you'd probably trial for CHS, and if you got in you'd take it and if not you'd hope...

If is right, would this be the first all girls final in ISDA? Grammar, Riverview, Scots, Joeys have been such powerhouses for as far as I can remember - anyone older know?

It would be incredibly poor form for this to occur - not a real win if they win because MLC only has 2 speakers in the state. Hopefully this will resolve peacefully and respectfully.

Unbiasedly am backing NSW - give them a day to acclimate to Brisbane and they'll be fully their fantastic selves. Daniel, Bella, Ella and Ellie are a force to be reckoned with.

I think in previous years the protocol is to delay those debates with missing nationals speakers until they are back from nationals-so nothing is blowing wide open. The ironmanning was just what I heard - I wasn't there so cannot confirm, but I just heard that after prep one of the speakers...

I thought Grammar was aff on that topic? MLC won with Claris Foo ironmanning 1 and 3 neg with a team member taken very ill. Big props to them.
