Wandered down to the first field to have a look at the BBC v State High game. Bit bemused why they had non contested scrums. Who forgot their front row?
From what I saw Webster was the pick of the bunch.
To stir the pot a little depending on their front row strategy Bergin would be a fantastic No. 7 in a similar way as Moroney a couple of years ago. May be too light to have Bergin and Macklin together in the front row.
Not sure about BBC front row. You really don't know which kids are doing grade 12 over two years or just the tradition one year. I understand they have recruited a 17 year prop from Bremer and stuck him grade 11 and starts first day of grade 11 to comply with rules. Would they need to do this if...
Well I suppose IGS & BGS pick themselves. BSHS have done some good (not outstanding) recruiting since year 10 and there is always the issue of teams having to come and play at the goat track which will help.
It was more of a list to flush out some discussion and I didn't want to sit on the...
Why do the poor BBC folk think a game can't be completed following a knock on? I realise you can't call full time on a penalty but there is no rule saying you can't call full time on a knock on from either side.
Hopefully Lony will survive the season. Knocked out 5 times last year including a week in hospital after being knocked out Friday night playing league and then again on Saturday playing Junior Gold cup. Great player and nice kid but not far off being severally injured.
Birgan is at GT.
You...
The number 10 isn't there for his defence, he has plenty of other positives. Keep in mind last week wasn't the biggest defensive test, look what NC did to them.
Better watch the tape again, most of the game he stood at no.13 his defence is so poor. Shocker today against TSS. You can't play a 10 & 12 both with poor defence together. TSS picked the weekess and scored twice through hole at 10 & 12. They need Roycroft or somone else who can tackle at 12...
If you can take the king hit while your back is turned you find the best thing at downlands is still their steak burgers. Head shoulders have the rest.
Unfortunately the GT immersion curse will ensure GT 15A will struggle almost to the point if they play they most likely will have to be uncontested for the last three games. Most of the team will be away for NC, BSHS and ACGS. 15a's will be between BBC and possible BSHS or IGS. NC has no chance
