The CHS Rugby comp is somewhat of a joke. As far as I can tell the only thing they compete in is the Waratah Shield. The sports high schools were due to have a gala day tomorrow, but even that has been cancelled. They have zone selections, NSW selections and waratah shield for those schools...

Cameron is still at school and plays for Hills. Big young man who has some ball security issues and is working hard on his fitness. Carrying around that size would be hard work for anyone! I am told he has a younger brother who is even bigger than Cameron and is only in year 7.

I was surprised to see top 2 grades and colts for Drummoyne go down to Mosman yesterday. Mosman were quick around the park and made some of the bigger Drummoyne boys look slow. Mosman were much better in the forwards than last year.

Well Eastwood played Gordon today. While Eastwood have had quite a few injuries during the trails, there was still about 60 turned up today to play just 2 grades of Gordon, and some of them look like they doubled up. Could just be the holidays but I wasn't hearing good things about Gordon numbers.

From what I can make out, Eastwood V's Manly colts was a close run thing. I think 3rd's drew, Eastwood won 2nd's by a try and Manly won 1st's by a try. 2 good colts clubs.

I saw that Willie was playing in the pre season trials for the Waratahs. In fact he was the one that smashed James O'Connor in the Rebels trial. Incidentally, Willie and Steve Cummins are currently coaching the next group at Hills Sports High.

Some more results from trials today. Eastwood V's Easts at TG Milner. Easts got up in 3rd grade and Eastwood convincingly won 2nd and 1st Grade. Warm Day!!

Manly just got up over Canterbury. Was a great final. Sydney Uni won the womens and I think Parramatta won the bowl. Biggest field ever apparently, 30 mens teams and 11 womens teams.
