Good comprehensive win by the Force. Beale looking sharp. Crusaders looked lost.
As a grieving Saders fan, I’m always frustrated with the old boys network that hold the reins here. They cite that Penney, convincingly winning 4 successive ITM titles with Canterbury makes him a good coach.

Interesting view from Mark Reason
Looks like Scott Roberston‘s upping the ante by throwing his name into the international ring indicates a growing frustration with NZR.
What’s the bet he’ll sign an offshore contract as NZR sit on their hands pondering an excuse for the AB backline failure under Foster’s tutelage?
True.
Scores in both tests flattered the ABs.
One more test against Ireland, 2 v Oz, 2 v the Boks away, then away against England and Wales.
At this rate I reckon at least another 3 losses. What a farce!
and Karl T, after getting owned in final, is fucking off at the end of the year but still gets selected?
I can’t help thinking about how the ABs would look now if the NZRFU had had the foresight to select Robertson and McDonald over foster and plum tree.
I wonder if the AB team composition would have changed if foster had left naming the till after the final.
I thought the scoreline flattered the blues with many of their ABs anonymous.
Expect the calls for Robertson to coach ABs will only get louder, and if the Irish win the series next month...
O’Keefe did a pretty good job last week assisting the blues to victory.
Surprising Gardiner not used, as a far better ref and better fit for this game.
Strange not to name ABs after the final, and like many others, I have little faith in Foster‘s ability to pick the right team.
I’ve enjoyed watching the Blues resurgence under MacDonald, and their development of new talent coming through, and think it’s their time. Imagine Robertson and...
What a shower of shit that was! Saffers didn’t deserve to win playing tedious rugby like that, (neither did the fumbling ABs), and their rest breaks are fucking annoying.
The ref was ok but thought the knock down should have been a penalty try.
Bridge looked determined to play himself out of...
What a great game!! Incredible performance from Oz despite shitty red card. Sets Wobs up perfectly for the coming series and will hopefully spark a review of how refs officiate head contact.
That game will have Foster’s sphincter tensing up.
In NZ our more "prestigious" schools specialise in offering scholarships to budding players from low decile schools and their old boys networks dominate the NZRU.
Sad to say Canterbury is a classic example of this nepotism and sense of self entitlement that tarnishes the game.
From an outsiders perspective a group of self-serving, not so great, ex captains have reinforced the view that any senior RA role is a poisoned chalice, especially for anyone not born in Australia. And Phil Kearns a contender for CEO? Really?!
It's good to see Rennie commit to RA following the...
