Hey everyone
Has anyone heard what will become of Penrith (if anything) for next season? Will they reform and play back in grade, or will they move to Subbies?
I can't see SRU continuing with weekly byes for the other teams in season 2019...
I personally would like to see a viable rugby team...
What about the head coach for Epping? They have done wonders with that club, and they are great to referee! (I won't tell you which games i have done at Sommerville this season...)
I know many others on these forums have praised and thanked sidesteppa for his wonderful work with providing these match videos, but I want to reiterate my thanks for your outstanding efforts - not just for this season, but for the past few seasons - whereby you are giving us G&G members the...
And there were 2 x red cards, and plenty of yellow cards, in the game at Forshaw last evening: Burraneer vs Engadine!
From the sidelines it appeared the referee lost control of the match...
Thats just poor form/ decision making by the ref Pfitzy... any player that gets lifted passed the horizontal - and lands on his head and shoulder - then a red card needs to be shown to the offender...
(Copied form the Game Management Guidelines for 2018 - provided to all referees at the start...
That makes more sense 2 x weeks; so the judiciary agreed then with the red card by the ref? Was the action of dumping the player discussed, and did they explain it to you - and the offender - the reasoning behind the suspension? I hope so...
Thats a smart thing to do Heavyd, and I recommend all clubs do this, and for the pre-season games as well. - I have lost count how may times the refereeing association has to send a group email out to all of the referees reminding them to ensure they fill out the send off forms correctly, and...
And despite winning this game comprehensively, the Barker 16A coach refused to shake the hand of the very good young ref who officiated the match; yes the PK count was high against Barker - and rightly so as they consistently infringed, and were marched for back-chatting on more than one...
Did you see the dangerous tackle? If so, can you describe it in more detail? If it was a lifting tackle and then dumping on his head/ shoulder - then I have no sympathy; those dangerous tackles can leave someone in a wheelchair for life...
A 10 week charge - for a mid-range dangerous tackle...
Despite the forum members disagreeing with WLF regarding this point, I will add my 0.02 worth to the mix...
You can see from the refs at the tournament that 95% are young refs - the older refs are not getting a go at these tournaments as the ref conveners are far more concerned about the young...
oh dear....
These two players will be heading off to the judiciary on Wednesday evening, and as it is striking (i.e. - punching) they will have a few weeks off depending on the severity of the charge.
DV have Collaroy in 2 x weeks time - I sense another forfeit will be on the cards...
Did you put the boots on yesterday Pfitzy?
The fuseapp doesn't state there were 2 x RC against Dundas... however the reason why is that there isn't a team sheet submitted by Dundas!
The Subbies rule states that if you have less than 11 players - regardless if it is before or during the game...
