due to the fact they now have JB as the 1st VIII coach. He is very good. He has coached at the very top level and got some pretty good results. You can already seen the difference he has made on the 1st VIII crew, last season they would be back with Grammar and High but in the St Josephs regatta...

Shore is taking their whole GPS squad to the Nagambie regatta this weekend. It will be interesting how the 1st VIII goes against the scotch 1st VIII. I hear they have 5 members continuing in the 1st VIII from last season. It will also be interesting to see if the 2nd VIII from Shore picks up...

i have heard from a few people that Riverview was never going to race yesterday. They wanted to see what shore was like so they can beat them again

Probably not, the schools will be keeping their cards close to their chest with the times. I see Joeys very early on Saturday morning in the single sculls. I believe Joeys will have at least 3 athletes selected in the GPS 8
