I wasn't trying to imply that they 'buy' a premiership, I apologise if you feel that I did. Rather, I was suggesting that they adopting the approach that Newington, Scots and Riverview take where they have the Master In Charge who's sole responsibility is rugby. It has come to my attention that...
With the loss to Newington yesterday, I am of the opinion that some sort of change must occur at St. Joseph's if they wish to return to their glory days. It has now been 5 years without the shield for them (assuming that they are no longer a chance of winning), which equals their longest run...
Well then the tournament would be well suited for Joeys, as they have arguably the best field in Sydney, possibly NSW and Australia. If you need more reliable sources, ask the Wallabies, they frequently train at Joeys during the wetter parts of winter due to the pristine condition of their...
Oscar Pryor Lees of Newington College cleans 60kgs which, apparently, is up there as far as records of schoolboy weightlifting goes...
Tom Robertson of St Joseph's is said to be their strongest player in terms of weightlifting, however, i have not heard any figures. Any Joey's boy could provide...
I have not stated that Kurtley was given a scholarship based on academic ability, and doubt that what you have said is most likely true, however, to give out a scholarship to a 10-11 year old boy due to his ability in playing rugby league, and believing that in 5 years time he would be competing...
As far as St. Joseph's go, their first Indigenous boy to play in the 1st XV was Kurtley Beale, who had attended the college since year 7, along with any other Indigenous boys to play in the 1st XV. By no means are these boys 'selected' to attend a school such as St. Joseph's purely because they...
Can someone please explain to me this obsession that selectors have with OPL and their blind faith in one of the most overrated players i have ever seen. IMO he potentially cost Murphy a position in the NSW 1s
I am of the opinion that Carolan's inexperience in the hooking role has more or less cost him a shot at the GPS 1's #2 jumper. To be honest, I was quite surprised to see Ben picked in the Joeys 1's against Oakhill, over the 2's hooker from last season, Kian Heffernan, who is playing 2's again...
It has already been clarified that Ollie Bartlett now attends Joeys, not Newington, so i think it is about time we left that matter alone and moved on to more pressing issues.
not a bad team there sealclubber, but i think big ben carolan could give vea a run for his money as far as the hooking role goes. Sure big ben does love to slam a feed, but he is improving in his hooking role more as the weeks go and has an even bigger appetite on the field than off the field.
