    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Big big big loss, probably the worst of the non-halves positions. Paper thin forward depth outside the front row at the moment. Maiava the only contracted player outside the 23. Not that he's not up to it if required, but a second injury would means paying money we don't have to get Herbert...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I am (by a bees dick) part of that graph back in 2010 & 2011. I'm definitely not the worlds best indicator here, I had both the full Foxtel Package via my folks and a lot of [redacted] figured out. But 2012 is a super interesting year from a FTA perspective, as a) Channel 7 no longer had...

    Australian Rugby / RA

I dunno. I feel it wouldn't be difficult for "Manly Amateur Rugby Football Club" to be formed, have a 4-3 Subbies lineup and then the 2-1 Manly RFC plays "Premier Rugby". Same colours, same ground, same training sessions, just SRU taking itself a little more seriously.

    Qld Premier Rugby 2024

I've been pretty happy with his performances, but from an administration POV it's probably been cheaper for the Rebels to have Nabolakasi as the EPS player and not being required to pay for relocation etc. for Herbert, even if you'd get 15-20% more out of him as an individual.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Will encourage everyone to get out and watch the local clubs tomorrow first and foremost: But Wests vs Bond looks to be a good one to watch on the Bye week: Eloff, Dobbins, Maiava, Mason, Lebron Naea and the Vaihu brothers named in the Doggies squad: while Lukas Ripley is playing for Bond.

    League Targets

I think there are too many permutations that have to go the specific way for Sione to both stay in (or come back to post Japan) Australia and become first or second choice IC for Wob selection. My gut feeling is he would be perceived the same as Paisami, strong in what he does well (i.e...

    Wallabies 2024

I think you need to learn to read. It's following on a thought exercise, that Derpus, UpTheReds and Phil Clinton have contributed to, looking at the potential "overseas eligible" Wallabies. As part of this, they've pointed out that other than Sio, there are not many Australian Looseheads plying...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

@ReeceHodgeOfficial & @The Ghost of Raelene In the pre Drua Rebels Injury update, they confirmed that Talataiana has injured his ACL in the back quarter of 2023, completed his 6 month recovery, and strongly implied he return from injury through the JRWC. Not sure in a 26 man squad you can...

    Wallabies 2024

BPA has played all but one game for Montpellier since returning from injury. If they can climb out of 11th into 10th, then his last game would have been on the weekend of 8th June, and hence potentially have has 2 or more weeks in Australia training with Wallabies from eliminated teams...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

I can't see midweek games ever working out there, just not enough connection to anywhere else in the city to make a non-weekend trip worth it. Stadium is pretty much exactly what I want for us though. Couple of Grandstands, plenty of room for sponsors tents, club activities, food & alcohol...

Could not be substantiated is great lawyer speak. Very strange that you could be that close to the dugouts, with RA Match Officials, and plenty of PI boys of both Rebels and Drua background and not get anything on the record.

    Wallabies 2024

He fell off a little, but Sam Skinner and Scott Cummings had made their debuts across 2018 & 2019, and Richie Gray returned to Glasgow for the 20/21 Pro14/URC season: add on Johnny Gray and Grant Gilchrist and you have the five locks who have effectively (and deservedly) started every test...

Charlie has the height to play backrow but the poor Sod is a fly half! 32 YO Ex Rebels Tighthead Big Brother Paul has been capped by Samoa 20+ times, 24 yo Mo has not. Much like the English trio signing for the Force, there are some other names which could be thrown up in the overall list who...

    Wallabies 2024

It feels like a good next step in the "recognising we're not New Zealand" series of decisions. There's almost certainly some short term pain to happen: definitely for Super Rugby and possibly for the Wallabies. But it almost certainly has a significant impact on the player value, both...

    Qld Premier Rugby 2024

I mean, it's grassroots right? All about the love of the game, the people who turned up, play 4th grade, then sink a few stubbies and a sausage or two and such while watching the firsts, and the old farts on the hill who've aged out (or fitnessed out) of even Masters level. Why do we expect (or...
