Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

Ok, you've exhausted that argument. You didn't rate Sione in 2012 or 2013 and so he's not good enough for the Rays in 2015 - sure. I think it's a moot point as It's unlikely that he would get a start ahead of Northam, Hooper, Adams, Feltscheer or Woolf on the wing anyway. I also don't think...

Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

I'll eat my hat if Hill opts to move to Gordon because he's playing with the Rays - HE DOESNT NEED TO! it beggars belief to read that Hill is one-dimensional or worse than Hodge. The bloke has won two premierships in two years and had a pretty big role in them. IIRC, Hodge's concussion occurred...

    Shute Shield 2015

I agree. The set-piece has been a worry with the 3 top hookers injured/unavailable (Hobden, Goddard, Handlin) and top props Nick Fraser & Lefu Iaofo also injured. Gordon in a good place this year with plenty of depth and have still led at halftime despite this. I feel it's only a matter of time...

    R3 Gordon V Sydney Uni

Hearing that Carmichael suffered a bad leg injury on Tuesday night. Thought to be a possible broken ankle so will be out for a number of weeks. I thought he had played pretty well in the televised game.

    Player Movements Shute Shield 2015

Neil is certainly highly regarded at Gordon for the success that he had. No Gordon players have sought other clubs that I am aware of . Jason Seage (1st/2nd utility) is currently playing in France. Good retention of last year's stock and a few new/returning faces down at Chatswood Oval.

    Shute Shield 2015

That is a great result for the Gordon Club and reflects the incredible effort by the current Board, Friends of Gordon (FOGs) and supporters in fixing the terrible mistakes that had been made. Bring on 2015! Up the Highlanders!

Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

It would be a travesty if there's no place for Wood, Brisby and not to mention Richard Hooper in the rays. Sef is more than capable at tighthead. Marlins finished 3rd/4th in 1st grade this year therefore all of their players are far better than any of tripe that the other three clubs are serving...

    Rays v Rams — Sun 28th Sept @ Brookvale

Did the Marlins give away this many dumb penalties during the SS? ;)

Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

There's a pretty clear plan here. The rams are an unorganised rabble that rely on about 3 individuals in attack. I am a big supporter of Hamish Angus' footy but can see that having an experienced organiser like Daruda has value here. I saw Holmes kill it in the centres a couple of years ago when...

Dempsey injured his foot at the world club 7s, he will be out for 2/3 more weeks.

    Player Movements Shute Shield 2015

'I like to watch' thinks he is "fat and slow" and you're backing Reece Hodge at 10? Does that mean Vaevae will add to the star-studded Manly 2s team? Maybe Manly A can have a team in the SS as well? Possibly a NRC side as well?

Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

Not blaming either of them. I thought Matt Lucas was outstanding (width in pass, speed and defence) and played at the same level, if not higher than Stirzaker did (esp considering the difference in fwd packs). I suggested above that maybe Lucas & Holmes are sharing game time as there is very...

Sydney Rays .. NRC Team Official Thread

Matty Lucas did look good V Melbourne but Holmes is also seriously talented - maybe these two are sharing games. Matthews & Adams is a very good centre pairing (Sef looked good against Melb but did get caught out in defence a number of times). Wells was brilliant V Melbourne so I don't know...

    Shute Shield 2014

P.S. Shute Shield rugby will be the winner in 1st Grade. Go Souths & Eastwood! It will take a huge effort for Souths to back up again after the last two weeks' amazing wins. Woodies looked very good against Manly. Both very entertaining teams...

    Shute Shield 2014

Both wingers had very good games. Brandon Quinn was quick winger who crossed for 4 of Gordon's 6 tries (ground announcer gave them to Manners). Michael Manners is the thicker of the two - right winger. Gordon were hurt by some key injuries in the forwards last week v Uni, this disrupted the...

    Shute Shield 2014

No chance. Although a number of 2s players have had time in 1s throughout the year, Gordon 2s side have had a fairly unchanged side. Gordon 1s had a very strong finish to the season (big wins over Norths & Easts, close losses to Uni and Randwick and a draw with Souths) so no chance of stacking...
