    Brumbies 2020

I'm confident there will be a positive move in all directions. From what I hear there are already great things in the pipeline with recruitment. Brad Thorn has started a new trend but the question is how are we going to compete with the international market with our experienced players opting...

    Brumbies 2020

Kata and Pollard are both positive recruitments for 2020 after watching you tube footage on both. The flyhalf position is still the biggest problem. Kata is a wreaking ball but is he a play maker? The centres with Simone, Kurindrani, and Ikitau are strong and Noah Lolesio possible bench but not...

NRC SF: Canberra Vikings v Fijian Drua, Sunday 20 October, 3pm AEDT

A flip of the coin between Noah and Bayley starting but I do think game strategy Bayley will have the more impact in the second half if he comes on at the 40-50 min mark. Bayley would be my pick in the coming years at the starting 10 with better skills. He just needs the game time to develop the...

    Brumbies 2020

Brisbane College had smart fast forwards. Gordon is a Bernie clone for sure and I told Bernie that a year ago. The Reds have a lot of flyhalves - Hegarty, Stewart, Lucas, JOC (James O'Connor) and Gordon. We'd be happy to take Gordon off your hands... Just say the word.

    Brumbies 2020

Round 2 on the Gold Coast yesterday was the first time I've watch a number of the development players on the ground. Andy Muirhead being the player that gets my thumbs up, next being Noah Lolesio but ony for the first 30 minutes. Muirhead played fullback but see him more of a winger in...

If anyone wants to see Pasitioa play - go to Double Take Sports Live feed today at 2.15pm. QLD GPS Nudgee College playing Brisbane Boys College. Meant to be an even type of game.

    Brumbies 2020

Kuenzle's core skill level and style of rugby suits the Brumbies. We have the team strength and dont need an individual player to be a run first player at flyhalf. Thats schoolboy rugby.

    Brumbies 2020

Agree that Lonergan is close. Good basics. Albert sends a good pill, and has good foot work, but needs improvement in kicking and quick hands. Pasitoa plays a running centre's game without the footwork. Not quick enough or accurate with the hands, and tackling defence is a miss.

    Brumbies 2020

After Saturday's performance in Perth, White would be welcomed with open arms. At the same time Powell is doing a superb job. I have taken the time to watch some game footage with Lonergan, Albert and Pasitoa. All should be no greater than the wider squad as young development players. No where...

    Brumbies 2020

Back to the Brumbs or to the Reds? Do we need another flanker? He must be like 36 now.

    Brumbies 2020

RoffsChoice. A few changes at the Reds. It is rumoured that McGahan (Waratahs), Tela (?) and Wileman (Waratahs) are gone and Stewart looking elsewhere. JOC (James O'Connor) most likely at the Reds. A reshuffle could be Hegarty at flyhalf with Carter Gordon on the bench. JOC (James O'Connor) at inside centre and Issac Lucas at...

    Brumbies 2020

Next year we have a high number of inexperienced super rugby players coming into the backs and it makes sense to have the captain working with these guys from the back. Joe Powell is the obvious leader. Maybe a bit young at 25 year old but a potential key turning point in his career. Pete...

    Brumbies 2020

Roffs Powell-Kuenzle-Muirhead-Simone-Kuridrani-Pulu-Banks looks good. Lolesio and Wright are close. Thanks for the informative summary on the other teams. That puts it is prospective but i guess we will see some movement in the next couple of months.

Reg, do you have an update on this?

    Brumbies 2020

Simone is the latter half of the season has marked his position at 12. If a move to 10 is predicted, slotting Noah into 12 could see promise. Noah best position is 12, and wasted on the wing imo. Not sure how Kuenzle functions at 12 to be strong bench 22. Let's not forget Goddard. Any reports...

    Brumbies 2020

What's Hamish Stewart up to? A bit quiet in the second half of this reason for the Reds. Rather Stewart over McGahan any day. Stewart at 10, 12 or 15. I would be looking at the young 18 year old signed with the Reds. Oz schoolboys 10 last year. Gordon I think?

    Brumbies 2020

The reason for Wright at 11 is that he is a former 10 who can control and open the game on the left and better passing game on his right. Thoughts on Muirhead?

    Brumbies 2020

    9 - Powell 10 - Kuenzle 11 - Wright / Pulu 12 - Simone 13 - Kuridrani 14 - Muirhead 15 - Banks 21 - Lonergan 22 - Lolesio 23 - Ikitau - staying? / Pulu / Wright This bench players may find their way to the starting team as the season progresses depending on form. Forget Pasitoa. Hasn't...

    Brumbies 2020

McKellar makes good decisions and has good insight with bringing the young players into the core squad at what position is best for the team. With Hawera gone and Lilo in the wind, the flyhalf position for 2020 will probably be determined by the NRC outcomes.
