Including Ackerman junior.
S24
Ruan Ackermann, 19, has featured for the Lions' junior teams as well as their Vodacom Cup side.
Unlike his famous father, who played 13 Tests at lock for the Springboks, Ackermann junior is a loose forward.
The Lions, the 2015 Currie Cup champions, finished second in this year's South African Super Rugby conference and eighth in the overall standings.

Can't see him making it to season three.
Well we'll see. I just want to see the Stormers playing a running game. I am sick of this conservative shite we see from all our franchises. Myself watch a lot of local schoolboy rugby and most play some nice running rugby. Its good on this level , now we need to take it to the top.

You'll get your running rugby, at first anyways. You'll also get a coach who talks in often contradictory riddles: after a while the players won't have a clue what it is they're meant to be doing & from there it'll turn to shit fairly rapidly.

History suggests Season One will be full of promise, Season Two a disaster & there won't be a Season Three.

Latest is that this isnt going to happen. Look like Fleck/Dobson with Oom Gert will win the race.

JM wont coach the Stormers, luckily they decided against chicken runners and will go the local route which is a blessing in the sky. Hopefull Oom Gert will lead Dobson (who came through WP club system as UCT coach) and Fleck. Ikeys is known as a running team since the 1900s and Dobson took a young WP team to the CC final with some excellent running rugby. Fleck took a talented WP u21 team to CC glory and both these coaches is by far the best solution. Local is always lekker.

DHL Stormers launch new kit for 2016

December 3, 2015
The DHL Stormers have launched their new home and away kit for the upcoming 2016 Super Rugby season, both of which retain the proud heritage of Western Province Rugby.

The new DHL Stormers home jersey will continue to feature the signature look of WP Rugby – hoops – but the heights of the striping across the jersey have changed slightly.
The most notable changes, however, can be seen in the new away jersey. The Disa-inspired red away jersey celebrates the rich history of WP Rugby where the Stormers franchise originates from.
Commenting on the away jersey, Adrian de Souza, Head of Rugby at adidas South Africa, said: “adidas, together with Western Province Rugby, designed the new jersey so that the DHL Stormers Faithful and more importantly the players, can take a part of the Western Cape with them everywhere they go.”
Western Province Rugby CEO Rob Wagner told the www.iamastormer.com website: “We believe that the contemporary new look of both the home and away jerseys will inspire the team to winning ways in 2016, but, more importantly, speak to our fans.
“The away jersey is an exciting take on our rich history, which incorporates the red of the Disa, which represents the pride, heritage and diversity of our union and teams. We are proud to retain an element of our history in our new designs.”
Technology elements incorporated in both jerseys include climacool, ensuring that through ventilation panels in key parts of the jersey, including across the back and under the arms, air flow keeps the body cool during play.
