Only thing that makes it hard is the three way game systems which are set in place.

Easy way around that would be to treat each half as 1 game. This would also make for more practice matches.

I'm chatting in here since the forum got locked.

Today will go down in forum history. I am deeply saddened by the events that have occurred. We can only blame ourselves for what has happened. This all started last week, when the first wave of Frank Rows joined the forum. Since then, it has not been the same. Foolish schoolboys chat has ruined altogether, just talking irrelevant drivel for 90% of the time. Then, at the start of the week, the second wave of schoolboys joined. It was getting to a point when a new post was being made every 30 seconds. The 3pm bell was all I looked forward to during the day, and the veterans could chat.

It’s deeply disrespectful to us veterans who built this forum with meaningful discussion, camaraderie, and shared history. These members invested time and care into fostering a unique space. Now, their contributions are being buried under floods of nonsense, their voices drowned out by those who don’t understand or respect the forum’s culture.

The forum needs serious reform. We must follow the forum guidelines to restore quality. If we want this space to thrive again, effort must be made to protect thoughtful discussion and prioritise the voices that have shaped the forum’s identity over the years.

The forum being locked is no small thing, it marks a turning point. If we’re honest, it didn’t come out of nowhere. But if there’s one thing we should all take from today, it’s this: we must put our differences aside if we want to make real progress.

This space has always thrived when respect, passion, and perspective lead the way. Not everything has to be serious, but everything should have purpose. Banter is part of the culture sure, but not at the cost of drowning out those who laid the groundwork for meaningful discussion.

We owe it to the game, and to each other, to rebuild this community the right way.

I fear we’ve permanently lost the forum.
And to be honest… I always felt it was coming.

The writing’s been on the wall for a while now the threads were getting looser, the respect wearing thin. What once was a sacred space for schoolboy rugby purists slowly turned into a circus of throwaway accounts, cheap jabs, and off-topic dribble. Cyclopath’s hammer was never going to stay holstered forever. It’s a real shame. I used to log on and have proper chats about footy actual breakdowns, insight, passion. Not the absolute piss-take it’s become especially towards BGS, GT, NC, and most annoyingly of all... Downlands. Boys, you're not even in the GPS. So don’t come in here with your garbage and ruin it for those of us who actually live and breathe this comp.The forum is broken. Our community, I’d go as far as saying, is broken. We’re as broken as the Grammar scoreboard the day Nudgee put 102 on the 2nds.Lights flickering. Numbers stuck. Power off at half-time. It’s a shame it’s come to this… but it has. And while I hope we can come back from it — this time, I’m not so sure we can.

Guys, this is the tipping thread, not Qld GPS Rugby Mk2.
The fate of the other thread will be reviewed in a couple of days.
Sadly, all the Schools threads have been ruined by spam shit-posting from schoolboys.
Posts directed at actual people, defamatory rubbish etc cannot be tolerated and we have a responsibility to clear it. It takes too much of our time.
No more general chat in here please.

Greetings All.

Apologies for my absence - I've taken up a spot with a new hauling company doing long haul live loads out west, (Birdsville, Eromanga, Cooladdi, you get the jist). I'm really disappointed in what the forum has become. What was once a place of banter has now become a place of utter disrespect and carnage. What Cyclopath says, Goes. Do not use this chat for general talk until the main forum has been reviewed. Hope all is well, and if anyone could Personal Message (PM) important news for the upcoming season that would be greatly appreciated. Salutations, TRC.
