NEW ABC CLU B RUGBY RADIO PROGRAM
The Clubhouse, ABC Grandstand’s new digital radio

program covers all things club rugby and more.

Every Monday afternoon just after the 6PM news

Patrick Foulkes and Niav Owens will be talking

Shute Shield, QLD and ACT club rugby results, and

previewing the coming rounds.

They will also be chatting with club rugby players who

have just made the step up to Super Rugby, getting

their thoughts on the challenges of playing at the

higher level.

The first program went to air last Monday and

featured an interview with Nic White from Eastwood

and the Brumbies –he spoke of Jake White’s thinking

and strategies, tonight’s big game against the Reds

in Brisbane and of course Eastwood Rugby Club.

Nic, who has been in great form this season also

responded to questions on the talk of a possible spot

in the Wallabies training squad.

Next Monday, Patrick and Niav will be joined on the

Clubhouse program by Dave Harvey, ahead of his

first game back in the Shute Shield for 2012, when

he’ll be playing for Northern Suburbs in their round 8

clash with his old club Gordon.

The weekly show is on ABC Grandstand Digital

Radio, but anyone who doesn’t have a digital radio

can tune in online by heading to the ABC Grandstand

website and streaming the program.

ABC will also be blogging the program for people to

listen to later, and it will be available through iTunes

soon too. So there are plenty of ways to get your club

rugby fix!

You can find the blog at http://bit.ly/K4kgJL–so even

if you miss the Clubhouse live show on a Monday

after the news at 6pm, you will be able to download

the audio from the blog anytime later.
