It’s not an outrageous point to make though is it.....

RA really stood strong with gay rights and someone’s gone and done that float, kinda sinking the boot into the wrong people

The wrong people?

Well yea, RA and the wallabies don’t deserve that negative connotations with their brand do they?

It’s not like that’s a ringing endorsement of their brand by having that up there

It's sinking the boot into Alan Jones.

The sock is a reference to Alan Jones suggesting that someone should shove a sock down Jacinda Ardern's throat because he didn't like what she had to say.

No shit but there wasn’t any real need to make it a wallabies sock was it........it doesn’t exactly ring out “thanks for standing by us RA”

It takes a pretty strange reading of the statement made to suggest that it is being critical of RA.

So this was a positive thing for you? You think gay men will look at that and go yay wallabies I’m going to support them. That float has zero negative aspects in it towards rugby

What about a pure number limit on overseas-based players, say no more than three in any Wallaby squad. A quota, if you will.

It basically says to O/S players that they can go if they want, but they need to be playing bloody well to make the squad.

And we get to take Arnold, Kerevi and McMahon in the upcoming squad.

Whether that is made a hard and fast rule or more a choice by the selectors, I think it is common sense.

The international windows make it too difficult to draft in too many players for things like the Rugby Championship as it is too disruptive.

If we're looking at South Africa as an guide, it needs to be considered that it is much shorter travel time between Europe and South Africa with little time zone difference so it is eminently more possible to bring players into the squad with less interruption.

How's McMahon travelling? All that talk about his chronic injuries a couple of years back? Has he fully rehabilitated? Never looked like played with too much "self-preservation". Hopefully he's back at 100%.

Looks fit for the Japanese top league running game but, as when Kaino came over, he's lost the bulk in favour of speed. Not exactly playing himself to a stand-still though. Diplomatically, I would say he's, uh, well rested.
