I think this is quite a good idea. Looking forward to the curtain raiser at the Tah match.

As an aside last week in the US Notre Dame played Aspen during a break in the College football game. The game of 7 s was watched by the 30,000 in the stands.

M Lucas over 14-7 10 min Half time

Spoke to some Kiwi journos - whilst it's maybe not their best team, there's a lot of their Ones in it.

20 min - and NZ respond - not much tackling going on = 35-19

    Final score Oz win

Not a great performance by the Kiwis maybe they had more fringe players playing than I thought

I quite enjoyed the curtain raiser. Having the games back to back made me realize that I definitely prefer 15s to 7s but I still enjoyed the game.

I still believe they need to create more exposure for 7s. Curtain raisers are good, but perhaps they could move it to half time. They may need to extend the break slightly but they could fit a 15 minute (7min halves) in there.

    That was great yesterday.

Well worth turning up an hour early.

What annoyed me most yesterday was how much of the crowd didn't turn up until half time. The entire first half I had people blocking my view walking up and down the aisle.

I heard the traffic was terrible, but seriously, Tahs fans are awful at getting there on time.

I was one who arrived just after HT, however I wanted to get there before kick-off so I left my home very early. The traffic was fucking TERRIBLE, almost the worst I have seen it. I didn't realise there was a big music festival on at Fox Studios, which fucked me royally. The trip in took me half an hour longer than it should have.

So I don't think this had much to do with 'Tahs fans' though I understand it is lovely to throw a sledge in for the cheap seats.

I have the luxury of living within walking distance of the SFS.

I don't know how specific it is to the Tahs but from my observations, it seems like a lot of people turn up 20 minutes into the game on a regular basis.

This is one of the morons at that music festival yesterday. Apparently he escaped without serious injury which is pretty hard to believe.

It's a combination of factors that have to do with an inner-city ground location. Parking and traffic are always difficult, but also people like to have a pregame feed or a couple of drinks at a nearby pub or restaurant, which often results in a slightly late entry.

But I think yesterday had a lot more to do with the traffic than anything.

He had more of a wounded pride than anything else, and what's more, despite being ejected and taken to a nearby hospital, he ended up discharging himself and then trying to get back into that music festival! The hospital would have been a brisk 20 min or so walk, but in his current state ..
