Alrighty boys. My sister-in-law just qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships being held at Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast on September 4th. Coincidentally, the Springboks are playing the Wallabies in Brisbane on September 10th. Thinking about jumping on the plane (20 bloody hours flight from Washington DC to Brisbane!) to go watch her race, do a bit of touristy stuff in the area, and then watch the mighty Springboks probably lose by 100 points.

So the question is, when do tickets for the Rugby Championship games go on sale? And generally, are they a PITA to get, esp half decent ones? Cheers!

Nice! Congrats to your sister in law!

Bledisloe Cup tickets can be very hard to get for Brisbane (one year I tried to buy a couple and the whole thing sold out in 6 minutes) but Mandela Plate is usually a bit easier. I'm not even sure that it sells out often.

Best bet is to sign up to the ARU's email list thing and that gets you access to a pre-sale period on 14 June. Link below.

All the prices etc. can be found here.

The best part about Test Matches at Suncorp Stadium though is that there aren't many crap seats in the joint. Obviously some are better than others but all are pretty good.
