I reckon that's a loss because I rate the guy. Not the end of the world but he was a good squad recruit.

Agree. A bit like Hoiles at the Tahs. But next year, the Brumbies will presumably have adequate coverage at N0 8 with Butler, Aeulua and Vea. Probably thought he wouldn't get as much game time as this year.

No one ever mentioned this and Ive forgotten till today thinking about our defence, I always thought we had our best when we had Brain Smith coming in and being a consultant defences coach. Do you think maybe next year we should get someone in for a consultant defence and contact coach, I think we have lacked their this year..

Holmes and McVerry were only brought in as cover.........

Not surprised about Whetton as Staniforth was brought in from outside the squad to start ahead of him against the Reds..........

Actually, not surprised about Cronje, Hoffman or Van Der Walt either..........

Van Der Walt has been there for three years and I still don't think he's been capped?

As the season progressed Dowsett was preferred over Hoffman, and Cronje hasn't had a look in since Lilo came back..........

What the Brumbies need in 2015 is a goal kicking back, and a goal kicking coach to work with Lilo and White..........

Sorry to see Whetton and van der Walt leaving. Stephan in particular could have been given some game time imo. Will the replacements for these losses come mainly from the JID?

With the EPS being abolished you have to think a lot of coaches are going to keep a few spots clear to see who shines in the NRC both in there own region and from further abroad.

So who do the Brumbies have locked in for 2015?

Sio
Alexander
Ala'alatoa
R Smith
JP Smith

Moore
Siliva

Fardy
Carter
Staniforth

Pocock
Aeulua
Butler
Doyle

White
Dowsett

To'omua
Lealiifaano
McCabe
Kuridrani

Speight
Tomane

Ah Wong

Am I forgetting anyone?

I'm fairly certain Mann-Rea and Smiler have yet to re-sign, so that leaves 7 spots to fill.

Harumichi Tatekawa - I would love to know what is / has been going on with him. Really disappointed that we didn't get to see him play.

It sounds like he's going back to Japan after seeing some tweets from players recently.

When the Brumbies had their injury crisis against the Tahs they opted for bringing in Iona from outside the squad over Tatekawa, Cronje and Van Der Walt..............

That was quite telling..........

Yeah, I figured it was bad sign and sadly wasn't as good as we all wished. I wish him the best and hope that he is better for his experience here.

So the big question. of the spots left to fill, what cattle are we needing and any names in mind? I assume a prop or two and potentially another hooker, some tall timber for the line out.......

Off topic a little any names being bantered around for the coaching role? I actually was thinking that Mckeller should get given Fisher's EPS type player development role (including development the ACT region) along with the NRC head coaching gig (I think provides continuity), and we bring in 2 new assistant's under Bernie. McKeller still could do some some specialist stuff.

The CEO was on the radio this morning and one of the things he mentioned was that the interim draw he'd seen does not have any matches clashing with other events like the Show and Skyfire which can only be a good thing.

Dan Palmer anyone? But seriously, can Peter Kimlin be enticed back? Was close to Wallaby selection last year and can cover 4, 5, 6, and 8. Would like to see Rowan Perry from Aus U20s get a go to back up Poey, and would also like Rathbone to saddle up again. Presume Iona will get a gig next year after his involvements in Club 10s and off the bench for the Brumbies. Other options will probably come to the fore during the NRC.
