I'm looking forward to Palu vs Auelua. I just hope no innocents are harmed.

I think that the Brumbies are going to cut the Tahs to shreds in the midfield.

I do find it quite amusing how you southern folk get so annoyed with either Kaplan or Walsh though.

I might just start two petitions and facebook campaigns. One will be titled "Kaplan for the Waratahs", the other will be "Walsh for the Brumbies". See if we can't get SANZAR to schedule those guys to ref most of the Tahs and Brumbies matches respectively. ;)

Already we get Kaplan for at least two matches each year, sometimes more! We got Bryce Lawrence three times last year. We've had that QLD linesman Smith twice (I refuse to consider him as a referee) and he cost us the game with an absolutely absurd decision on a forward pass. It is plain that we are already getting the raw end of the pineapple from the appointments board. We don't need any more dead weight on our season thank you.

You might lose your sense of humour if there was a ref where you have a losing record of 20 to 3.
Any other team any other sport, that statistic alone is enough to say maybe he shouldn't referee that side.

Pfft. You would think that the Tahs would learn to play to Rafferty's sorry Kaplan's Rules.

If he had any when he reffed us, that would be an option.

This will be a great game if the Waratahs come to play, if the Waratahs backs are in disarray again I think the Brumbies will win it.

Carter and Kingston struggled last Sunday, but McCabe and Smith arent exactly Carter and Fruen (no matter how good their form has been). I expect this one to be closer. Don't expect fireworks though - I would bet on fewer than 3 tries for the match

I think Carter will defend at 12 against McCabe rather than 13 like he did on Saturday, coaching staff over thought it.
Barnes at 15 was good but then AAC was at 10 or 12 with Kingston and Carter at 13, I think the combination brokedown and Fruen was brillant to exploit it, I know he beat Carer twice for tries but at 13 Carter's pace wasn't up to it those extra couple of steps wider.

Judging from what's been said since, I don't think the coaching staff over thought it as much as did the right thing. Barnes was apparently quite sick and they were shifting him to fullback to limit his involvement in defense, hopefully that won't be needed this week. It was Kingstons first time defending in from the wing this year and he had to swap around in defense rather than just concentrate on his own position, I expect a much better defensive display.

Above someone said the brumbies will dominate the midfield, I don't find this to be true, the brumbies main point of difference to the Tahs are there width due to Lilos game. They have a very similar 12 set up of getting over the gain line and getting quick recycled ball from McCabe, it's the next play that they are able to use there width better than the Tahs and strike out wide.

I expect the Tahs to rush up out wide and get the brumbies to keep the ball in close where I think the Tahs have the advantage.

Brumbies will punch through the centre. It will be rough. I believe they'll win. 1-12

Why would they punch it through the centre when the Tahs conceded all their tries out wide this season?

I hope they try. But I think White's a smarter coach than that. Unfortunately.

Chris Pollock is reffing not Walsh. Match officials are named on Super XV website. Thank Christ for that! Brumbies look like they may have a chance.

My source who should have known better has let me down.

At least the Brumbies will turn up then.

Oh well, can't win them all. Best I can hope for is that the Brumbies get Walsh next week..

But seeing as he isn't reffing, Brumbies by 14. Don't let the Tahs get a bonus point. In fact, I would be very happy if you kept them scoreless.

Going to head down for the game.

Anyone have any advice on locations to stay? Where do people generally go to drink after the game? Back to the city?

Brumbies supporters might think that's nice but we Waratah supporters are not impressed with Pollock. While the Kiwi's love him, especially POB, he is really really just a lite version of Bryce Lawrence. He often becomes a random decision generator, which leaves players with no idea what to do, especially at the breakdown.
