I drank a draught Lord Nelson "Three Sheets" pale ale last night.

Very nice indeed.

The Three Sheets Pale Ale in bottle's a lovely drop, boyo, in fact I like it more than the tap version from the pub. Suggesting as much to the publican might be fraught with danger as the bottled version's brewed by Australian Brewery at Annangrove while the tap version comes from the onsite microbrewery at The Rocks.

Could I possibly suggest to Herr Hayden they're both bloody beautiful..... ;)

I had a nice one at the AB Hotel last night, can't remember the full name but it was lovely.

"??? and Victor's Pale Ale"

It helps if you say Victor with a dodgy Russian accent... wictor

^^^^ Pretty sure you are talking about Peter & Victor's Pale Face Australian Pale Ale.

Pete and Vic also do an Ice Cider and Belgian Pils.

Just wanted to thank posters for their comments which has helped me on my latest trip to a booze barn in Toowoomba.

Surprised to see Bohemian again, got a 6 pack for old times. I'm hoping the Coopers Vintage Ale is the one that has been discussed.

Coopers Vintage Ale seldom disappoints, regardless of the year.

Try Untappd.com, Ratebeer.com or Beeradvocate.com for more "research".

Good to see you going craft.

If travel to the big smoke in Toowoomba is a big challenge, and supply is limited once there, then try Beercartel.com.au - they specialise in on-line beer orders (for a small delivery charge). 850 beers available. Pretty sure Plonk in Canberra also does so. There is one or two out of Melbourne that do likewise, and if you want to stay local, CraftWineStore.com in Red Hill had a good selection of craft beer last time I was up in Banjoland. Pretty sure that they do deliveries (with extra costs).

Yeah, that's the Vintage Coopers. Put a coupla stubbies down for six months, it'll end up tasting better than mother's milk.

Toowoomba should be pretty well served by the Spotted Cow pub and bottle shop.

I've found Coopers Vintage Ale to be on the slide, the last 2 have been the worst i've encountered (i've had every year except 1999).

Just thought I'd show a photo inside Taps at Mooloolaba. All craft beers on tap where you can serve yourself (as per the photo). Right now indulging in a Balmain Pale Ale. Food is true beer food too. Dessert includes deep fried Mars bars. I'm gobsmacked!

A boy from the Yeastie Boys did a tasting at The Oak Barrel recently (get on their mailing list for some awesome beer and whisky soirees), the Gunnamatta Tea Leaf IPA was outstanding.

Wonder if the Kiwis are having a laugh at us "convicts"? "Tea Leaf" IPA!

Batch Brewing Co from Marrickville do a WheatTea brew that is chai tea infused. Nice brew if you can get it.

Also try Hop Dog Beer Works "Chai Fighter" which is similar.

I thought that the tannins in the Yeastie Boys Gunnamatta Brew overpowered the brew.

Of the three, I preferred The Batch Brewing contribution.

Never been a tea drinker but partial to coffee in the am & beer in the pm: has anyone (successfully) combined them? If so, where can I get some? And if not, why not? If we (as in humans) can get to the moon & back & send robots to Mars that mostly don't end up as scrap metal, combining coffee & beer outa be a doddle.

Some Porter style beers have some coffee flavours, without any infusion.

Try the Porter from Morningside Peninsular Brewery.

or Old Engine Oil Porter from Harviestoun Brewery (UK Brew)
