Shame on Ponting not walking when he knew he snicked that ball to the wicketkeeper, Pakistan successfully got the original not out decision reviewed in their favour.

Hardly surprising though; he has never walked. He belted that ball though, so hard to fathom his surprised look.

Pak 47 runs to get off 124 balls. Aussies getting smashed

Can't wait until this WC is over - far too bloody long. Does cricket ever have an off-season?

Bigie vs India today. Aus batting first and going like a rocket - 37 after 8

Great knock from Punter. I still think India can chase it down but I'm hoping I'm wrong.

Good win by India. Australia didn't score enough runs and were let down by their spinners in the end. Was watching Slats speak on ninemsn a little while ago and he said Ponting has been given a blank cheque to call time on his career when he is ready, not necessarily as captain though. I think this is a mistake though as before last night he hadn't scored runs in over a year, one innings (however superb) doesn't make up for this. Slats also pointed out that none of the youngsters had proven themselves at international level as yet, a bit harsh as some of them haven't been given a chance let alone multiple opportunities except Phil Hughes of course.

All good things come to an end and I'll take three straight world cup victories. I doubt too many other teams will come close to that.

Punter could still bat for OZ, but I think someone else should be captain.

Punter has really started to shit me lately. I just don't feel 'invested' in the team when I see him there. He gives me the impression that he's in it for himself and no-one else. For me, that century yesterday just confirms it. He's had his time and did very well, but we need a new captain and probably a new team culture.

Yeah, how dare he score a century in an important match. What an arsehole.

He should have let us lose by more.

Don't agree with that, Tait and Lee had couple of bad overs earlier on after India's last wicket which changed the game completely.and left Australia with less runs to play with before the spinners to come on.

Woke up this morning and pissed myself laughing. The Black Caps have fulfilled the Proteas enduring CWC prophecy of chokage. Now I can only hope for England to beat Sri Lanka, Pakistan to beat India and the Kiwis to then go all the way to win it. I mean, I couldn't stand England, India or Pakistan winning, and to a lesser extent Sri Lanka.

Fucking hilarious. All out 172, Nathan McCullum and Jacob Oram the destroyers.

Cricket with balls tries to empathise
