Thas what I'm talkin about. I'm revisiting The Wire from go to whoa, and with a sprinkling of Hip Hop Evolution and Tiger King to keep things a bit less grim.

    Westworld.

I am terribly, terribly, terribly sorry but episode 4, for some reason just felt like a chore. And possibly even a bit shark-jumpy. It may have crept up on me, but within the span of 1 episode, aside from the Jesse Pinkman storyline, the show somehow seemed to divest itself of all intensity by being too clever for its own good.
    • Ed Harris going all season 2 of Mr Robot.
    • The big bad french baddie is just a no-fucks-given storyline.
    • "OOOOHHHHHH, we're ALLL Dolores."

Decision time! Do I really want to see the third season of Killing Eve? Kind of worried it's going to be another case of rinse and repeat, spoiling the first two seasons. Particularly knowing they're going around again for a fourth season.

Of course you do! The pair will have a great old time doing their quirky fun flirty pissing-about thing.

One of the only shows both Camp Leader and I enjoy together. I think CL secretly wants to get her lez on with the pair and that is juuuuust fine by me.

Second season totally unwatchable and beyond redemption. Seasons 3 and 4 can wallow in neverland as far as I'm concerned.

I'm kind of hoping they do more with Niko. On one hand it's nice having central female characters, but you just kind of hope he's a Polish agent who married an MI6 officer in order to gain the British secrets to real ale or shitty cider or whatever.

ha, Brumby Runner bringing the hammer down, tough man to please

Yeah poor nice guy Niko was hung out to dry and left to wither on the emasculated cuckvine as wifey went goo-goo-eyed globetrotting for some hot lezzer forward slash killer gash action.

Well, I don't really know what show you're talking about, but it just became awesome.

My last post suggests I'm invested enough. The first couple of episodes will keep me roped in enough so I'm strapped in, the question is how they tie it all up in the last two episodes. And that pretty much sums up British TV. Everybody knows about the short seasons, but they're made or broken by those last two episodes. Oh and they contain the same 8 actors.

Devs is a decent techno-thriller miniseries that's airing on Foxtel right now.

    Black Mirror.

Been working my way backwards seasonally through these happy funtime light comedy drama vignettes butFFS, SEASON 3, EPISODE 3, WFTTTT WAS THAT BLACK-SOULED FUCKING CRATER-COCKED BULLSHIT??

    This fucking one:

If this particular episode of the TV show entitled "Black Mirror" does NOT look familiar to you then please, please, please, NEVER, EVER, EVER WATCH THIS EPISODE OF THE TV SHOW NAMED "BLACK MIRROR".

    NO.

    JUST DON'T.

GETTING A BIT CURIOUS ARE WE? IMMEDIATELY ADMINISTER 20 HAIL MARY COCKPUNCHES TO YOUR BALLSACK REGION AND, ONCE YOU HAVE CAUGHT YOUR BREATH, QUICKLY MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE. YOU ARE FUCKING WELCOME.

I know, I know, I'm going to sound like a parody of an idiot from a satirical news story "Local Idiot Feels Bleak Ending To Black Mirror Episode During Global Pandemic "Just A Bit Much" but. FFFFFFFFFFS

I've marvelled at the brilliance at most episodes in season 6 and 5 and 4 but FFFFFS S3 ep3 was just BEYOND THE FUCKIGN PALE.

The fucking thing started bleakly, quickly piled on the misery, then swiftly ratcheted up the tension, hastily added in more pain, heartlessly threw in a heaping helping of exasperation, cruelly ladled in buckets of abjectly inhumane terror and then, just when you're thinking okay, there must be SOME sort of faint hope for SOME character involved in this episode of a television show, a medium that is after all loosely tethered to the entertainment realm, that is when Brooker coldly marinades your last tendril of hope in a Marianas trench worth of fucking tears, casually dashes your brains all over the sharpish corner of the coffee table, and abruptly shows himself out.

Dismal I thought you were going to say that your better half was into San Junipero and you're not complaining one bit. Anyway, back to listening to Belinda Carlisle.

    Westworld ep 5.

OK, now I'm certain; Westworld has shit the bed. Season 3, finally out in the real world, and somehow there's just no gravitas to it any more. It lurches along from clunky scene to clunky scene and all with that goddamn dreadful 80's synth soundtrack clamouring along for the ride and seemingly trying to jarr you out of every wee moment. Maybe that's half my problem, I'm sitting there getting agitated at the jarring 80's tv movie casiotone bullshit intruding on everything and its distracting me. Sitting through episodes 4 and 5 has felt like some sort of pop culture obligation. Dare I fucking say it but if the show didnt have seasons 1 and 2 in its resume, and was launched as a standalone from start of season 3, the thing would be getting panned as another swanky-looking hi-tech sci-fi thingy with forgettably plastic acting performances.

The young masturbating pedo, Alex Lawther is also in "The End of the F***ing World" on Netflix; another favourite show of mine :D

Yeah, so I got up off the couch a few times to grab snacks or whatever during the first episode, which is to say that I'm not really drawn into it. Can't say I was into the South Park ending either.

Just finished watching the latest episode of Westworld, #6. Think it was a remarkable improvement on the previous couple. Maybe because with that last scene of Holores punching her way out of the car as a molten robot got me vibing for some serious T-800 terminator shit.

One thing that irks me about the Dolorii...

In E01, Dolores gets shot and nearly dies before Caleb comes along.

Beardlores, who has fulfilled his purpose, is shot and presumably killed.

BUT, Now Dolores is able to be shot loads of times with no apparent effect and, Halores gets burnt to a crisp and carries on jogging.

Did I miss the Delorii level up, gaining the power of invulnerability or something?

    That's shark jumpery, IMHO.

    Ran through Justified again'

I enjoy Elmore Leonard stuff, the crims aren't all geniuses, just evil (often dumb) f*ckers with no conscience and the occasional one with rat cunning
