Here is a story of a bloke who was 54 years and seven months. He was diagnosed with AML and had to head south to begin his treatment. As a result he had to draw on his super to payout his debts as his working life had been thrown into turmoil. Five months short of being 55 he was taxed at a rate of 55%. Taxing the dead shouldn't come as a shock when under unforeseeable circumstances they fleece the living. For crying out loud the bloke withdrew the money out of necessity to cope with a cruel twist of fate that was out of his control. This sort of taxation I have a huge issue with.
