6 million for three years for DC, good luck with that. Great player and an even better bloke, but I'd expect him to miss more games through injury than he will play.

Yeah, he's probably the best first five eight in rugby history but he suffered many injuries, his body isn't the same as 10 years ago.

His performance this year hasn't been good, he still didn't recover his best level.

Not too surprised about Thrush going WOB, he will struggle to make WC I suspect, and perhaps knows even if he does , perhaps he should take advantage of his AB status (I think is good for 18 months legally) to get work permits etc if he decides to stay in Pomgolia. Actually think he will do really well there, and I think the Gloucester have made a good buy.
Probably similar feelings about Coventry, he seems ready to get head coaching gig, and getting experience over NH seems to be best bet, there no gigs in NZ and Japan probably not high level enough to show on CV.

^^^^^^^^ agree on Thrush, probably only 4 locks will go so he'd need at least one of Retallick, Whitelock, Tuipolotu, Romano & Bird to be injured. Honest toiler & probably unlucky that his career has coincided with one of those rare periods where we've got locks coming out've our ears..................

Frank Halai looks to be gone as well:

Thought he may have tried to make the Rio 7's squad but good luck to him.

Big Ben off to France:

Unless he changes his mind about playing for NZ rather than Tonga. Again.

But Big Charlie's sticking around for the 2017 B&IL:

Clever boy, Crockett & B Franks won't be around.

Interesting take on younger kiwis (& Aussies) heading OS to pursue a rugby career from a bloke who's been there & done it:
