So on a webcast I just saw (interview with Sean Maloney), looks likeJ ack Maddocks is playing on the wing this weekend. New Jersey looked good on Dom.

In case your looking for it, here's a link to the live stream (or rather, where it will be) - http://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/nrc/nrcondemand

Sorry, forgot to add that here too (did so in the Rising thread).

Based on paper, there will be a lot of Super Rugby talent in that Perth side. Could be a Banana peel game for the Rising, if a few of our Super Rugby stars are resting up.

That's a very strong team.

Interested to see how Rob Leota goes in the NRC. Like most people I was really impressed with his play in limited minutes at the JWC.

Pretty happy with that. Nice to see Tupai and Ah-Mu get a run.

Maddocks, Dom, Toby, Siliva and Colby are the ones missing that are not in the Wallabies. All injured?

Tom Moloney is a really interesting one, he never played Aus 20s but is obviously highly rated by the Rebels. Similar to Fox, though at least they gave him a go.

Erasmus and Havili looked pretty good in the World 10s. As did Ruru. Excited to see how they go.

The start of a long-term, fruitful midfield combination?
Hopefully I can get some time free to pop by for a squiz

I suspect the Spirit's forward pack will be in some strife.

It is a weak Spirit team, but you might be in for a surprise. The Rising pack isn't amazing. The front row is average and the backrow has some fairly good but fairly green players. I guess it all comes down to conditioning. A lot of the Spirit team have just come out of the local finals. Whether that makes them battle hardened or worn out is hard to say.

I'd say our backlines are of fairly equitable strength.

Spirit up 5-0, <edit: 6-0> around quarter time via an early try to Onehunga Havili.

Perth pressing the Melbourne line, attacking 5m scrums...

Day started with some sun:

But game is a bit wettish and overcast
