No off
OK for those of you yet to get the message, this isn't Sportal. It's not the place for slinging shit about your mates, or running down other schools.

If your post isn't directly related to GPS cricket OR it shows the maturity of a fucking five year old, you will be banned.

If there is a pattern of fuckwits coming from one particular school (I have one in mind at the moment) then that schools IP will be banned.

It's pretty simple.
.
No offence Bah's but me thinks that quite a few of these young 'uns may be sitting in their own homes of an evening... With the bedroom door closed...sound turned down... A left handed computer mouse..... :)

Sutcliffe with his third consecutive century. This has to be a record people!

McLean chips in with a century of his own, Crawford with another strong knock of 40-odd (falling victim to an unfortunate mixup with wicketkeeper Mackie).

Grammar post a strong total of about 320, 7 down. Spratt probably the only highlight for the 'View boys, diving around in the covers for the final hour which I saw.

Sutcliffe is a sensation: where's that poster who said he wouldnt do much??????

The thought just came to me; what did Maddocks get? Surely we can't have dual-tri-centurions (or whatever we call this phenomenon).

What a great day of cricket at Weigall. The morning was a tense struggle between bat and ball. The Riverview fielding was outstanding. The bowling was mostly pretty tight. The contest was even with Grammar 2-75 at lunch. After lunch McLean and Sutcliffe were faultless, top quality aggressive batting. Not a chance was offered in the session. This was one of the finest displays of batting I have seen in schoolboy cricket. The session was a real joy to watch. At tea Grammar 2-250. Sutcliff and Mclean both past the 100 milestone.
After tea Riverview staged a real fight back with persistent accurate bowling and good fielding. Spectators were in awe of their courage. They were rewarded with a mini collapse by Grammar, losing 4 wickets for not many runs. A final fighting partnership by Crawford & Mackie capped the day putting an end to the post tea wicket spree from Riverview. Crawford unfortunately runout near the end of the day for an excellent 45 runs. The last ball of the day saw an emphatic 6 from Mackie rattling the roof of the grandstand. Grammar 7 - 330. What a great day of spirited high quality cricket. Well done both teams.

Shore has started well against high, they had them 7-50odd at lunch and then straight after lunch got 3 quick wickets and had them all out for 58 within 15 minutes after lunch, Stobo picking up 5-12, he is something else.

Shore went in and had list a few early wickets but with a decent partnership of Stobo and Papworth 'settled the sip' and held out till tea, and wining first innings point, at tea shore were about 3-65odd, straight after tea saw the fall of Papworth, but Stobo remained strong and ended up unfortunately getting out on the last ball of the day for 91, extremely unlicky as he batted very well and deserved it.

Newington and kings is looking very evenly poised. Newington had kings 6-36, however a fight back from shepherd (89) ensured that kings posted a decent total of 168, despite shepherds strong performance the newington boys didn't crack like they had in previous seasons and applied the pressure all day.
Newington in reply are 3-52, with key players Atallah and jackson out. it should be a nail biter next week.

Should be interesting, or is it worth the watching of Scots and Joeys?

Looks like the recent weather will ensure a Scots win for the 2012/13 season. It's hard to see how anyone can catch them unless View get them tomorrow.

An amazing outcome for the GPS yesterday sees Shore take the title by one point from Scots after losing to Scots outright at the beginning of the season. A champion team beats a team of champions?

Ouch! That must really irk some of the wonderful boys @scots. I agree with you totally on the champion team v team of champions. Look at India ATM . This would be a please explain to the cricket coaches from the school heirachy? Lots of investment for nil return. Sort of like Cricket Australia and CNSW too.
Congrats to Shore and Mssrs Stobo.

Totally agree about the champion team beating a team of champions. What's interesting is Newington, who upset Scots in a thriller on saturday, were rained out against shore earlier in the season, around the time shore lost outright to scots. Might have been interesting had newington won that game....if all other results had stayed the same they would have won the comp

Congrats Shore.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Scots and Shore have both played 5 games with 1loss each, whilst shore have 1 outright win and Scots 2. Shouldn't scots of won?

Firstly congratulations to Shore. Secondly, if Newington had beaten Shore in their washout game, with all other results staying the same, then Scots would've won by one point with Shore 3rd (New would have 3 extra points and Shore 3 less points). Thirdly, day 2 of Scots v Grammar was washed out resulting in both teams receing zero points. This clearly unfair rule is to be changed next season with the points to be split as they are if a one day game is washed out during the match. Ironically Scots and Newington both suffered from this exact situation last season. Every other game that weekend was completed. Had the new rule applied this season Scots would be premiers.

Finally, on what basis is Scots a 'team of champions' as opposed to a 'champion team'? Apart from the final game and excluding T20 they were undefeated (including games v a touring Brisbane school and a tour of Melbourne with less than a full strength team), was the only team to win 2 games outright including beating Shore by an innings and 61 runs (the only other school to lose by an innings was High) and they had 2 GPS reps compared to Riverview's 4. With the exception of one player who arrived in Yr 10, the entire team either started in Yr 7 or the Prep. School. Every player made valuable contributions at some stage during the season and the team was not overly reliant on one player like Shore with Stobo.

To besmirch the boys, their coach and the College, as Gristlechewer has done, is a disgrace.

Mate I don't think ol' Gristlechewer was attempting to "besmirch the boys, their coach and the College" i think he was just remembering the reputations a few of this years scots boys have (going back to last year and those involved with the harrison kelly incident). Not naming any [current] names, but some of these boys are reputed to be a bit keener on themselves than on the team...
