Assuming the results posted above are correct. Of the 7 GPS teams in ISDA, 1 was an Octo Finalist, 3 were Quarter Finalists and 3 are now Semi Finalists. This is panning out as a good year for the GPS. Doesn't give us much of a clue as to who will win though. Perhaps, finally, a breakup of the High, Grammar Duopoly with some other strong teams in the GPS?

It certainly was an interesting result, Grammar had the easier side, and Barker wasn't strong in the rounds, but the adj. was the chief adj. for the comp.

The results are all legit. It certainly is looking like a strong GPS year. Grammar seemingly isn't in great form (loss to Barker + Scots), but I can't speak for High.

In terms of potential winners (excluding High) Scots or View perhaps? Maybe Joeys or Kings?

    In ISDA news:

Riverview beat Joeys in a 2-1 Split on the aff of the topic that “Progressive Individuals and Organisations should not support or provide advice to Trump” (paraphrased).

Barker beat Kings (no news re split or topic).

Should be an interesting final, certainly one that no one predicted. Riverview has already beaten Barker if anyone is looking for an indication of potential victors.

A hearty congratulations to Riverview and Barker!

Does anyone know the deal for the Australian team schedule this year, ie how many weeks will Grammar be without Yim? That may be quite significant for their GPS season if the other schools replicate their ISDA performance. Luckily it tends to be earlier in the season, as their last two debates are against Riverview and Sydney Boys.

Apparently only the first week, against Joeys.

Riverview beat Barker unanimously on the topic that “We should ban all occupational licenses” (Doctor, Lawyer, Plumber, Electrician, consists of exams and or training), taking home the senior A ISDA premiership.

Knox beat Kambala in Year 9.

Barker won in Year 10, beating MLC.

    Senior B, MLC beat shore.
