^ yeah I had him in my South team. One of those guys who seems to get injured just as an opportunity for higher honours arises.

10. Black (10)
12. Plummer (10/12)
15. B.Barrett (15/10)

There gon' be a lotta kickin', son.

EDIT: As unlikely as it is, it'll be deliciously ironic if the Blues beat the Crusaders using the Robbie Deans playbook of kick deep -> defend -> force kick from deep -> counter attack -> ??? - > PROFIT

EDIT 2: HOL' THE F*CK UP. Where's Nock?!?! Of all the games to -- I assume -- rest him.....

^ Nock not even on the bench, gotta be an undisclosed injury, surely?

Loss Bleus hype train fully loaded & ready to depart Grand Central Station Onehunga when next the broken town clock shows the right time........

................. stopping for nothing & no-one, by the time it hits Wellywood it'll have built up enough momentum to jump Cook Strait (& the assorted sharks residing therein) Dukes of Hazard-styles, landing back on the tracks near Seddon & carrying on its unstoppable way South, arriving at Not Lancaster Park five minutes before kickoff, whereupon Travel Director Dan Carter's cunning plan will come to fruition.........

Leon: "Oi! Carter! Where the fuck are we?"

DC: "You said get us to Not Lancaster Park five minutes before kickoff. Here we are, boss"

Leon: "CNUT!"

DC: "Bwahahahaha! Bwahahahaha! Catch ya later, losers!"

*grabs rope dangling from chopper piloted by Richie McAwesome & is winched up & away to the victory party at Razor's mansion*

A little worried about Coles being out, Clan got a couple of good 2s, also not sure about Fletcher Smith being an improvement on JGB at 10. Still don't mind seeing Flanders get a run at 6, he got a bit of potnetial, and may develop into a reasonable Super player!

Game day & it's like 1980's/ early -90's Canterbury v Auckland or late -90's/ early 2K's Crusaders v Blues, as if the 16 years of one-result traffic never happened: NLP is sold out, The Game is lead story in every sports section & sports news bulletin, it's fucking awesome to see & for the first time in a long time I'm only 55-60% confident of the outcome. Punters have installed CruSadists as pretty much 3:1 favs so they must know something(s) I don't!

Was thinking, with the whole resurgence narrative, even for me it would be pretty funny if the Cantabs just turned up and doled out yet another murderously professional 50-pt shellacking, just regular business as usual, another day at the office.

"The opposition team? The Blues from Auckland you say? Oh, sorry, we weren't paying much attention to who the opposition were, just focusing on our core roles and getting the patterns and communication right".

^ see that right there is why Loss Bleus are a work in progress: patterns schmatterns, it's all about systems, shapes & structures in the 21st century, eh.

Oranges in the First XV curtain-raiser at NLP (St Andrews 17-9 Christchurch Boys). Skies look clear & flags barely moving. Should be a good night for footy (dew permitting, of course:)).

TJ & Mr Boomfa! in the box. A fair & balanced commentary will no doubt ensue.

Edit: dew count now two & they're not even on the Park yet. Gunna be a big dew night at this rate.
