6. Digger MacMillan - 1st XV 2011 vs. NC,BBC, GT.
7. Michael Gunn - 1st XV 2011 - Qld U15 2010
8. Lachlan Oppenheimer - 1st XV 2010/11
9. Darcy Eason- 1st XV 2011- GPS 2
10. James Watson - 1st XV 2011 vs. TSS,BBC,GT,BGS
11. Alex West - 1st XV 2011 vs. BGS
12.
13. Monty Ioane - 1st XV 2011 - GPS 2
14. Dean Van Heteren - 1st XV 2011 - GPS 3
15. Owain Davies XV 2011

Reserves
Outside Back: Moses Clarke - 16A's
Inside Back: Angus McClanahan - 16A's - Qld U15 2010
6/7/8: Sebastian Georgiou - 1st XV vs. TSS - Qld U15 2010

Obviously missing half a forward pack, but that backrow and backline will cause damage. That only includes 2 promotions from 16A's

Most likely first XV for Churchie next year:
1. Ben White
2. Sam Knoble/Joe Warriner
3. Jack Leamon
4. Luke Shepherd
5. Will Godfrey/Charlie Brown
6. Digger MacMillan
7. Michael Gunn
8. Lachlan Oppenheimer
9. Darcy Eason
10. James Watson
11. Alex West
12. Jack Poplawski/Gus McChlanahan (maybe?)
13. Monty Ioane
14. Dean Van Heteren Swemmer
15. Ben Haligan

Firstly, I dont know why everyone thinks Owain Davies is grade 11, he is actually grade 12.
Luke Shepherd would have had a very good shot a Qld U16 had he not gotten a serious headknock a couple of weeks ago in training, may not play the rest of the season.

Going to need a better forward pack than that to get on top of BSHS, NC, TSS. Anyway backline certainly stands out, at this rate I doubt any player can be confident about making the ACGS team next year. Considering there are no 15A players in that team or any standouts in that grade to speak of... I can see a few new boys in blue and grey come 2012

i know what you mean, another second row would be handy and also a hooker, but they will have one of the best backrows and backlines in the comp. also, i cant think of anyone from the 15a's to play 1st XV next year besides maybe jaidon shaifer at 12. as you may know, churchie 15a's are not terribly strong this year...

BGS going shopping?
words out that Brisbane grammar are trying to lock in fly half, inside center and fullback from St Laurences College U16's A team for 2012 first rugby season.

T. Robinson as 10.
J. Shoul as 12
J.Dempsey as 15

Just the word going around school at the moment
Not confirmed just as yet, coach just shows high interest in all 3's playing style.

Wouldn't be a suprise as they are losing their three best backline players at the end of this year.
10. Grant Davies - GPS 2 - Aus Schoolboys 2010
12. Blake Laud - GPS 3
15. Sam Greene - GPS 3

Mind you those players are invaluable so unless those lauries' boys have serious skill, Grammar will struggle with those loses. Speculation at this point won't help though so perhaps come back later when it's confirmed.

I wouldn't consider these rumours all that legitimate either, it's not an anniversary year for BGS and it seems odd that they would bring in boys just for senior grades if there's no other reason than rugby..

Doubt it. Grammar already have Hugo Starr-Thomas playing #12 (however he played #15 against GT) for the 1st XV and the currently injured Joshua Birch (Australian Rugby League Representative) in Year 11, so there's the centres locked up. Winger Lewis Radford might move back to fullback next year, the position he's played in lower grades. A flyhalf would be great to see, but if not BGS has plenty of depth to adequately cover #10.

If I were to predict a team for 2012, my guess would be something like this:

1. Nick Anderson- Current 1st XV
2. Cody Blackhurst- Current 1st XV
3. TBC
4. Michael Gilbert- Current 1st XV
5. Jack Cornelson- Current 1st XV
6. Alistair Harper- Current 1st XV reserve
7. Andrew Saunders- Current 1st XV reserve, starting against BBC, GT and Churchie
8. Lakehm Aiono- Injured 2011
9. Sam Burke- U16a's 2011
10. TBC
11. Tom Branch- U15a's 2011
12. Hugo-Starr Thomas- Current 1st XV
13. Josh Birch- Injured 2011, played 1st XV trial matches
14. TBC
15. Lewis Radford- Current 1st XV

Not a lot of players from the U15 age group in my opinion. Stuart McReight (#3) and Ferg Halliday (#9) both made Junior Reds, but neither really has the size at this point, especially for a tighthead prop. Current captain Tom Spencer would be a shot at the #6 jersey, a tough quick Number 8 with an exceptionally high workrate. Flyhalf Matt Marsden has all the skills- kicking, passing, tackling, lightning speed- but once again, way too small and very injury prone. Tom Branch is a smokey, a flanker-turned-winger improving fast under former Aus Schools coach Carl Marshall. Very fast (Mid 11sec) and very determined, with a strong defensive game and a fierce approach in taking on the line. Big boot (50m+ off both feet), his size is the only issue, but in my opinion a growth spurt could see him in the flagship squad next year.

Umm Alistair Harper plays hooker so they will move their hooker from 2011 season to prop in 2012 and Harper to hooker for 2012. Michael Gilbert is the BGS flanker, so he will be 7 and Saunders 6. And they dont have the depth to field a #10 so take from that what you will in terms of New Talent.
