Well if the lads stay here in Australia after they finish school and contribute to Australian Rugby Great! If not do we really need to be developing players for the Republic cant they do a good enough job themselves. But I guess we all really know why they are here. Interesting to see how they go.

In the spirit of cricket season, I've thrown together a list of current cricketers to emerge from the GPS in recent years.

Not a bad batting lineup! Chris Lynn hit six 6s onto Moggil Road against BBC in his senior year, prompting the school to shift the oval from 2008 onwards.

Just had a bit of a look at the guidelines, in every age group the difference between the minimum weight to the maximum weight is over double. Not sure if they are really going to achieve what they set out to do.

Also have to be outside BOTH height and weight parameters for testing to be mandatory, if you are only outside one parameter testing is voluntary. Initial screening is off the weight and height you offer up when registering your kid in club rugby , not sure what the school stance is going to be. Think it is a step in the right direction though , hopefully will reduce the incidence of kids not developing genuine skill due to them being bigger than everyone else is often enough to dominate in the younger age groups. Plus the effect on game strategy and team development , hopefully less "just pass it to the big kid"!

Brisbane High and TSS both played Westlake boys high (NZ)
1st game: BSHS won by 2 points. Team looked really strong, not as many superstars as last year but they have a lot of good players throughout the park. Westlakes had a huge front row but BSHS really put it to them and dominated them.
2nd Game: TSS lost by approx 30. Didn't get to watch this game. but the result was a real suprise.
