Once again, a hugely weakened City side, and a 6/2 split on the bench.

No Schatz, no Gill, no Genia, no Turner, and now Talaki, R. Tapuai and Va'aulu injured as well.

At least White has returned at 13.

I could be wrong in saying this, but I'm forming an opinion that if a player of the high performance nature that you mentioned has the merest niggle, he puts his hand up and that a replacement is appointed.
And while I understand the importance of maintaining the fitness/health of those players, I am seeing a disrespect for the team's culture and to the fans by not playing.
They are doing nothing to help the stature of the NRC, in that if they do not give it the respect it deserves, then nor will the fans.
The commitment from these players just doesn't seem to be there.

This is probably due to the Reds coaching team having too much say

No Genia is particularly weird, as he really needs game time. Maybe the Thursday game was too close for the non-starting Wallaby tourists (Genia, Schatz, Hanson) to be included.

Having no Genia for city is hopefully a sign he will be in 3rd test against the AB's

Loved watching QC (Quade Cooper) last week. So vocal barking out plays And his reading of the game was awesome.

Forwards had trouble last week so hopefully there is a better effort tonight. Defiantly wasn't expecting that score line, so big effort tonight and I'm expecting Link to be there watching QC (Quade Cooper) having a cracker game.
Thursday night Rugby.... Let's go BNE CITY

It's interesting that Nic White has been released for NRC and Genia hasn't.

It's quite likely just because the Brisbane City game is two days earlier than the NSW Country game.

Genia would have got back to Australia on Tuesday evening after a massive trip, possibly had to stay in Sydney that night if they returned too late, flown to Brisbane for a training run on Wednesday, flown to Sydney for the NRC game on Thursday and then back to Brisbane afterwards.

I can understand them not wanting him to play tonight.

Not a bad start from a one Mr Cooper. Good ground finding clearance kicks, lovely half field pass to the winger for a break. Hand in the try also.

That cleanout from Quade would've given the shoulder a good workout. It was technically good too.

And Quade forgets how to score a try. Might've injured something.

That'd be very tough for Quade if it were a serious injury, he's been having a pretty stellar game up until now.

This is pathetic from the Rays. City have been good but seriously, just woeful tackling and errors. Ward bombed a 1.001 try.

A brace for Gunn - charges down and scores

Quade OK and adds the extras from 10m in from touch
