I hope I am wrong but Dom Shipperley's knee injury didn't look very good.

Nor did the emotional reaction.

Pros - it's a position of strength for us (the back 3).
Cons - this bloke looked like a long term Wallaby 4 years ago, is a great player/bloke and this happens. Tough.

Hope it isn't that bad Dom.

Right, so we have 8 home games in 2017.

How about the following;

4 half time games with the kiddies like what has been successful in the past and...

4 half time 7's games of only front-row Masters players. 6 sides/clubs, top two points scoring teams into the 4th game and thus the final.

Discuss.

you can't fit a game of 7s in at half time.

A half of 7s perhaps but is there merit in that?

I assume the front row masters suggestion is a joke because nothing would drive away potential fans from the game like that.

The Tahs have been doing a shortened game of Women's 7s at half time for the last couple of years which has been fantastic. They play until a siren goes for the end of the half time break and then the game stops straight away.

It's the only half time activity they've run which really engages the crowd. Much better than a high ball challenge or some other activity for a crowd member to try and win a prize.

No more pure wings/wings who can cover outside center please. Got plenty of those already.

Fullbacks. Flyhalves. Centers, either hulking or creative. Those are the types of players I would like.

I'll keep banging on about him after every quality performance, but until he went off with a HIA, Sammy Johnson played another good game for Glasgow on the weekend just gone. Particularly if Mitch is off at the end of the season, he should be someone we're talking to.

Also have picked up a Randwick loose forward Nick Kellaway on a training contract - have yet to see this confirmed.

I don't think this kind of thing gets confirmed, they mostly just come down, run around and get in a few preseason photos, and go from there.

Need a fly half first and foremost, in an ideal world, they would also be able to play fullback.

After that, I'd like another fullback.

Stick with Inman and Hodge in the centers. Sione as the depth, Engo and Sefa cover in the 23.

If we can't secure one of them, then get a Center and use Jack and Hodge to cover the other positions.

Sean McMahon, Colby Fainga'a, Jordy Reid, Lopeti Timani, Harley Fox, Rob Leota, Rob Valentini are all options at various levels of development.

The Rebels have no shortage of backrowers.

Options at 8 is one thing but specialist at 8 is another, which Mafi recruitment seems to have solved. Thanks HL as google search on him seems to show pedigree.
