well with Toyota cup train on squads being announced there are a lot of rugby boys in there. these are the boys from queensland that i know of

Broncos - Levi Aumua (grammar), bill brittian (nudgee), caleb timu (marsden), Soape Palau (churchie),Jeriah Goodrich (toowoomba grammer)

storm - ben meehan (state high)

bulldogs - denzel king (ippy grammer), jack creighton (padua)

raiders - jonno kent (ashgrove)

knights - sam johnson (st eddies)

there are probably more but this is the lot that i know of

there are also a couple more players who i know of that have received interest from some nrl clubs to so might add to that the following season.

Jarrod Watson from St Pats is another one to add to that Broncos list, started the season on the wing for the 20s and played the first few before being suspended, a lot of talent from the class of 2011.

Luke Keary (Hills) made the Toyota Cup team of the year and has an NRL contract with the Rabbitohs next year.

Adrian Ha'angana (Joeys) was with the Rabbitohs Toyota Cup and has been signed by Manly for their top squad next year.

Nick Hedley (Shore) is with the Rabbitohs Toyota Cup squad.

These guys played for the North Sydney Bears Harold Matthews or SG Ball squads before progressing to Toyota Cup.

Reegan Carr and Matt McKinley were part of the Bears squads in 2012.

Does a player have to go to a private school to be considered a rugby player?

There are a lot of ex-junior club players who were 'rugby' before they made the full-time commitment to league!

Most of the other clubs have been explored however at the Dragons there is Weseley and George Lolo in the U/20's (ex-Eastlakes JRU); and Kem Seru now in the NRL squad (ex-Canterbury JRU).

In the Bulldogs U/20's you have Brandon Mafi (brother of ex-Australian schoolboy, U/19, U/20's and Sevens rep who is currently at the Western Force, Alfie Mafi) and Michael Morgan. Brandon Mafi was an SJRU and NSWCHS rep and Morgan (Canterbury JRU) was a NSWSRU rep.

Very good point Newbie. We tend to get too wrapped up in AAGPS, CAS, ISA and NSW Schoolboys 1st XV's and rep players.

There is plenty of talent in junior clubland that is being lost to the dark side (or have been toying with the dark side since they started - playing Heavensgame on Saturdays and Mungoball on Sundays, or vice versa depending on where you come from) and you have quoted some excellent examples, and I am sure that there are plenty more where they "came from".

Banning people who play league from participating in union.

Worked for union last time, lol.

IMO the aru would be better off getting more kids involved in league and then buying the best back so they have a chance to beat the all blacks as it stands the wallabies don't hit hard enough nor create enough to be in the hunt in a competitive match.
