Brazil belt, bump and barge their way to victory vs Columbine. Bedlam in Botofogo, backwash in Bogota. I mean backlash. Or bad hash. Or bad rash. Or big splash. Fuck knows there but Neymar copped the first actual brutal looking injury of the WC, a knee to the back, be surprised if he plays at WC again. They'll be fucked without him vs the Hun. The Germans fear no man. NO MAN. It is just blood and sturm and drung until defeat of unruly favela children is complete.

Toss up between Germany and Argentina IMO.

The unruly favela children situation has already been handled.

It is ahead of expectation, it is prior to halftime interval. Half of squadron have already pushed on towards Rio.

We have exterminated their dreams with the use of blunt force attacks to the head and face area, again and again we struck them until their life force ebbed from them.

Perhaps we were how you say a little heavy handed but they shall never, ever, ever forget this.

ps Hans has fashioned himself a necklace from their teeth. It is cute.

Stunning result. I'd personally be changing out of my German jersey if I was in Bazil tonight. Might be a wise choice to keep a low profile.

    Brazil: 0
    The Dutch: 3

The 3rd Place Diving Championship Match has been won 3-0 by the Flopping Dutchman.

Full range of dives on display here, the ACL Pinwheel, the Shin Barker, the Sniper's Buckshot-to-the-face-oh-I'm-fine-now, yes the whole catalogue.

You'd think for a nothing game the ponces would want to put on a show, maybe even showcase their skills on the world stage for a potential big money move to a top club. But no, its just one giant long nancy boy parade of deceit. Fuck off the both of you.

Can anyone tell me if Germany (as in the combination of both east and west Germany) have ever won a World Cup?

    Mein Chancellor.

    First there was blood.

    Then there was joy.

The Black Forest is on fire.

That trains run on time on the Autobahn.

As for the dreams of the 3rd world shanty town children, they were the dreams of children and today they have died.

We shall shortly begin partying like it is 1939. Then we shall be rerouting directly to Prussia.

Please tell our families that we like them very much.

No. West Germany won it 3 times (1954, 1974 & 1990), Germany lost the 2002 Final (to Brazil) but today's the first time a unified Germany has won it.

Edit: looking through the list of Finals on wiki, I'm struck by how few different World Champions the World Game has produced, 8 counting Germany & West Germany together & only 12 have made the Final. It may be the World Game but the WC's not quite the anyone-can-win-it comp some dive ball fans would have us believe.

    Local poofballer receives govt grant

A local soccer player has received a government grant in order for him to fully develop his ground-breaking dive over the weekend to a world class level.

"We would like this individual to develop this particular skill to its fullest potential so that perhaps one day the upper echelon of players can learn from it and hopefully our top players can incorporate this particular manoeuvre into their diveball repertoire" said a leading Manchester United spokesman.

The player in question is believed to be interested in spending the entirety of the funds on registering a patent for the manoeuvre with potential naming rights said to include "The Phantom Limb A&E", "The Elevated Half-Pike with Inverted Wince", "The Afterthought Fosberry Fish Flop" and "The Oh Come On Just Fucking Get Up".

I've heard some press on the upcoming Asian Cup Australia is hosting. I was surprised at how poorly ranked most of the teams are:
Australia ranked 101 in the world
    Kuwait 124
    Oman 93
    South Korea 69
    Uzbekistan 74
    North Korea 150
    Saudi Arabia 102
    China 97
    UAE 81
    Qatar 95
    Iran 51
    Bahrain 122
    Japan 54
    Palestine 113
    Jordan 81
    Iraq 103

    Pretty ordinary to be frank

I actually went to an A League game on Thursday. Wanderers v Mariners. My Uncle and his mate had spare tickets. The same issues are present that lead to me losing interest in the game 18 years ago. The main one being the amount of falling over that occurs. I actually had to restrain myself from yelling at them to get the F up.

it gets them in to the Confederations Cup which is a guaranteed $2million bucks to FFA.

Watch the sponsorship money come in too.

They're doing better than the Wallabies.

They've had a new coach come in with the intent on being hard on his players, very similar to Link (the two are very close). Interesting that the much higher paid football players took it in the stride and responded to Ange's direction whilst the professional rugby players whinged and claimed the scalp of another coach.

I wouldn't be scoffing at it.

Still a lot of issues to be resolved for the Roos, but they're in a reasonably good place. Sainsbury and Spiranovic finally got a lot of gametime together together, Luongo showed that he's League 1s best player by the length of the flemington straight, and Ryan has looked very very good.
