Great article. This bit:

"However, the bottom line is that we are looking for at least a 15% edge and we – Wales that is – reckon Spala, with its specialist cryotherapy units, helps and has done time and time again. On the other hand, England clearly think that St George's Park, just outside Burton upon Trent, with its hydrotherapy suites, biomechanic gyms, video analysis, and especially the altitude chamber does it for them."

Anyone think the Wallabies have anything remotely similar? Wasn't this a point that the villanous Quade was making?

The AIS, some AFL clubs and one or two NRL clubs reportedly have those sort of faculties or at least some aspects, the Wallabies don't have them

And that is how the All-Black's build pressure. By constantly keeping the opposition defensive line moving and feeling like they haven't had the time to man up, they psychologically wear the opposition down.

I would love to see the Wallabies stats for clearances within 3 seconds, but you would expect it to be as bad if not worse than 30%.

I'd like to see Phipps v Genia.

Seems Bob Dwyer knows what he's talking about

So Quade was correct about our facilities then

He's probably spot on with everythign he said.

He just wasn't bright enough, or eloquent enough to effectively explain his position. For all we know, he's been saying this for 3 years, and Deans hasn't listened to a word of it. The twitter/Fox stuff was probably a last resort from a passionate young sportsman desperate to effect some change in the most important career of his life, before it was too late.

Yet, no one considers that, we all just go on a witch hunt because he had the audacity to say EXACTLY what 80% of us have been saying for 2 years. The sheer NERVE of the bloke!

Slightly off-topic..
But the England facilities that the article/quote refers to are the new FA(Soccer) training facilities, the RFU is technically homeless in terms of training facilities since their last lease expired... Their is talk of establishing their own training base, or last i heard they were looking at a potential deal with Chelsea FC...

Do the Darkness have these sort of facilities that facilitate or do they rely on Rod MacQueen's BHW*?

*Bloody Hard Work

Not really the point, Australia has always prided itself on been able to do more with less depth...
Ironically it was during the MacQueen era that the Wallabies really took professionalism to a new height with a key aspect been the application of a scientific approach to strength and conditioning.

And what facilities would have improved sending the Wobs out against a rampaging Les Bleus with no discernable game plan. Let's fix the coach first, then worry about what facilities we need.

every game plan in the world starts of with dominating the tackle and tight to get clean quick ball available.

what was supposed to happen after that .... meh, "that" didn't happen, every thing can't happen without it.

I'll give you a game plan for those conditions: No sudden or late changes of direction. Run straight - and I don't mean straight at the touchline.

Someone needs to tell Digby this.

He's no where near as effective at shedding tacklers like he was back in 2009/2010. All he does now is throw a massive step, lose all his momentum, and then try and wrestle his way through like a backrower.
