I note that a number of likely Sevens players are included in the squads. I guess it's just a formality before they're whisked away by Tietjens?

^^^^^^^^^^^ unless they've changed the rules you've gotta either be contracted to a Super Rugby team or already have a NZ7's one to be eligible. So, yeah, any who make the cut for the pre-Rio tournaments will be temporarily replaced but be able to,come back in if they don't make the final cut. Similarly the guys who come in as replacements likely get their contracts upgraded if "temporary" becomes "rest of season".

^^^^^^^^ also Samu, seem to recall some 'tahs die-hard or other demanding he be signed on the back of his ITM form for Tasman. Volavola I s'pose is less of a surprise given he was in the Cantab ITM squad.

Great to see Pete Samu get a full time contract. He really is one we let slip away. Great bloke too.
