So the final episode is with us. Though never an avid watcher, the length and durability of the series brings with it many fond memories of years past. It started in 1983: there were no mobile phones, no internet, Microsoft was barely known, Google was something in the future, Hawke and Keating came to power, the Rugby Grand Slam was a year away. Things were different, but the Bill was there. It started, and now it ends.
Strange how some people tend to look fondly on things of the past and dwell comfortably there rather than take joy with the anticipation, adventure and potential of the future.
