Anyone else watch this? Surely the most dramatic boat race in history. If this wasn't enough, not long after the race was restarted, a huge blade clash broke off the Oxford 6 man's blade, which gave Cambridge an easy victory after that. Oh, and it looked for a while like we might also have had a death as the Oxford bowman was unconscious for a few minutes at the end of the race. Felt sorry for the Oxford blokes as it is a hell of a lot of work to put in for a race to go the way it did.

Unfortunately the offending goose is/was an Australian claiming that "Elitism leads to tyranny": he needs more tyranny.

Pity they didn't smack him in the head with the oars.

If I was the Oxford captain I would have punched that bloke. What an embarrassment to Australia he is.

I reckon, if they had the chance, they'd tie him by the ankles and row back up the river with him.
Whatever point his protest had has been entirely diminished by such an action.

This guy has nothing on Peter Hore who resides here in Newcastle. Peter has schizophrenia though. This new guy just seems to be an idiot.

Had to check who Peter Hore was.maybe this guy's not well either: reality check for London and the olympics - although its pretty hard to secure a 6km stretch of river with pubs etc backing onto it..

We believe in make love not war. No need for armed military forces on todays world. We are armed with drum sticks and trumpets. If that don't work we get Maradonna to kick their buts single handedly.

And I'm sure my Irish ancestors were spinning in their graves when they saw that this clown was one of their own ilk.

They should have just kept rowing past him.

Amazing amount of training goes into this event. You basically dedicate a year of your life to do nothing but train very hard.

My impression was that the umpire directed them to stop.
