New Foxsports show starting next Tuesday Night 7 pm

Sounds interesting. Fly on the wall semi-reality TV type documentary by the looks of it.

How many of the 7 nominated tragics the show will be following are Gaggerland regulars?

    Moala (TPN sis)
    Mopes
    Ronita (Mosman Mum)
    James (from Uni)
Rowey (Part time as Wally the Mascot)
    Tiana (from the 7's programme)
Goldie (Minister for Good times - MMM supporter)

I'm not sure if Moala and/or Mopes frequent GAGR but they would certainly lift the level of fun here! They are co-coaches of Parra's wonderful women's team and Moala was awarded life membership of the club earlier this year.

They need a Pfitzy style character to get them going.

Rowey seemed to be the guy trying to lead a cheer at the French test but he didn't really have the volume or the confidence to pull it off.

There needs to be someone who can rev people up and inspire the people around them to make lots of noise. They should study what Vic who leads the Barmy Army does and copy it. That guy is amazing.

G&GR has had some input into this. I was interviewed for it about a week ago.

A nice bunch with a tough task

I've often found that if you're lacking in volume and confidence at a sporting event what you need is more beer.

Awaiting further details of the Gold Brigade's "Bledisloe B & S". Sounds good in theory as long as the booze prices are reasonable. You don't want to get trapped at Homebush paying $8 for a can of mid-strength hours before the match like I was for the Lions Test last year. Or sneaking into the Pullman lobby so you can pay more for full-strength.

Last year the Glenmore Hotel rooftop bar was packed with Lions fans from lunchtime onwards really. Perhaps the Gold Brigade could look at kicking off some sort of pre-pregame function there or some other nice spot with a view. I'm fairly keen to be on the booze from around 2pm onwards.

    I agree.

The Gold Brigade is always going to be in a cheap ticket category area. I wonder if you could make it partly general admission so people can join up on the day to sit with the group.

Ideally you would have a pre-match event to get the punters a little socially lubricated and ready to make some noise.

If you could recruit some uni student sort of age fans into the pre-match function and then sit with the Gold Brigade it might work really well.

Actually, if they really want this Gold Brigade to go massive all they need to do is negotiate 10% off in-stadium booze prices for anyone in a Gold Brigade t-shirt. Even the Kiwis would turn up in gold then.

I noticed when they showed the promo for this during the Reds v Tahs game on Saturday night that Richo, myself, Mrs BH and one of our other friends all appear in the footage from the Wallabies vs France test.

Hi, Greg Growden that featured in the first episode, is he the same Growden almost everyone on here dislikes?

That is correct @Lemoen. He undoubtably likes rugby, but he is to journalism what McDonalds is to fine dining.

Expect a stern reprimand from McDonalds.

Personally, I'm not even certain he still likes rugby anymore. Jaded and cynical would be how I'd describe him.

To be fair, once you're in the thick of it with the politics etc rugby starts to become pretty hard to keep loving. Like a needy and overemotional girlfriend.

The gimp suits were vetoed on the show last night in favour of t-shirts. Does that rule you out Pfitzy?

I'll have to make do I guess.

Gimp suits would probably have just looked like that abortion the Reds fans were wearing.

The suits just weren't bright enough. If they were going to go with that sort of thing they needed to be a fair bit brighter to stand out.

The logistics of them were clearly an issue. Tshirts is a better way to go particularly as the top half of people's bodies in the crowd is pretty much all you can see.
