Standard loig propaganda: invent and enemy against which no argument is invalid.

They had a 90-year head start on spreading their game, and they failed to beat rugby. Now rugby has money and 20 years of professionalism to catch up.

Who did it right?

The answer to that will depend on how much store you place in TV money and annual attendance numbers here in Straya. Not which you code you prefer.

Don't think anyone is denying that there are grubs in rugby. It's just that most of them are english:

From Wikipedia:
"Clark captained the England under 20 team to second place in the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship. However, Clark was sent off in the 38-3 Final defeat against New Zealand for a double headbut having been penalised and warned for foul play earlier in the match.[5]
In 2012 Clark was suspended for 32 weeks after being found guilty of breaking the arm of Leicester hooker Rob Hawkins in the 2012 LV cup final.[6] The ban was initially for 64 weeks but reduced due to his guilty plea."

There should be a competition to come up with the best headline for the story.

You couldn't have scripted it better to have Big Willie at the centre of a story about groping.

Who was the pom cricket commentator who uttered the immortal phrase "the bowler's holding the batsman's willy"? Too early for Agnew but it's the kinda thing he might say, the difference being that he'd be very aware of what he was saying.

The Mungoes can't talk about Wallabies ATM, they lost 3 in a row against Kiwis, which it's a minor sport in NZ. Unlike rugby, their number one code by far.
