Wallabies v Pumas, Bankwest (Parra), Sat 5th December

Silverado

So the Argentine rugby organisation seems to be the Wild West of laws and regulations.

Pablo Matera the suspended captain in the change rooms leading the huddle at halftime and geeing the boys up. And the Pumas wearing a tribute to Maradona on their sleeves this week after being crucified by the Argentine media for not respecting his death and as a result those old tweets being dug up. Sounds to me like negotiating with terrorists.

Losing a bit of credibility on the world stage. But playing good rugby so something obviously going right for them.
Matera's suspension was overturned...

Good opening minutes. Miserable weather, got a dominant scrum. Play field possession and scrum for penalties.

The issue now is Petaia is likely to try harder to make amends and do something “special” rather than the mundane but effective play.

Yes always seeming to try and overplay his hand - needs to learn time to do the basics vs the razzle dazzle risky play

I have to admit Petaia been pretty clueless this game..his rugby IQ is very low this game..a raw talent but rugby IQ so critical to be a star player...

Not just this game though, pretty poor decision making through-out the Test season this year.

We are essentially seeing the worst traits of our backline here. Petaia overplaying everything, Paisami failing to pressure on in defence by missing some attempted big hits, Koribete average hands, Hodge just being rather shit all round.
