Provincial(top)
Wycliff Palu wrote himself into the history books in 2009 by becoming the first player to win consecutive Matthew Burke Cups for the Waratahs Players Player of the Year. Palu also reached two personal milestones in 2009 by bringing up 50 state caps for NSW and 50 Super Rugby caps for the Waratahs. One of the most devastating ball-runners and tacklers in world Rugby, Palu has overcome knee and hand injuries in the last two seasons to maintain his place as one of the most feared players at Super 14 and Test level. He made his debut for New South Wales against Samoa in 2003 before switching the league the next year to play for the George Illawarra in the NRL. He returned the the Tahs in 2005 and made his Super 12 debut in the first game of the season against the Chiefs. (Source: Wallabies Profile)

International(top)
A regular on the back of the Wallabies scrum since his test debut in 2006, Palu is a damaging ball runner who is hard to contain in broken field play. Of Tongan heritage, Palu is continuing to improve, in terms of his consistency levels, while remaining a player his coaches believe still possesses large amounts of untapped potential. Quietly spoken off the field, Palu has been a key figure for the Waratahs in recent years, missing just five matches over the last two seasons, before injury ruled him out of the entire 2010 international season. In late 2009 during the drawn Test between Ireland and Australia, Palu was given a yellow card by the South African referee Jonathan Kaplan for allegedly making a shoulder charge on Rob Kearney, Irelands fullback. However, it's suggested Kearney in fact made the shoulder charge on Palu whilst carrying the ball, and the referee's decision was erroneous. (Source: Wikipedia). You decide:

Discipline(top)
Palu has had a few brushes with the law, having spent a 6 month period in a penitentiary centre after an altercation at a night club led to him being charged with aggravated assault and then in January 2009 he was arrested for being caught for the second time in two years for driving without a licence. He was eventually fined and given a suspended sentence. (Source: Wikipedia)
