Green and Gold Rugby Podcast Episode 168: Watching From the Sidelines with Nathan Sharpe

After another cracking round of Super Rugby I have a chat with the legendary Nathan Sharpe to discuss all things rugby.

Sharpie talks Force, he talks Super Rugby, he talks Simmons, Douglas, Skelton, and much more. It’s a fascinating listen, as the big man doesn’t hold back on a number of subjects. From there I am joined by veteran performer Braveheart and newcomer BDA to get stuck into the latest rounds of Super Rugby, and talk in detail about the issues that Karmichael Hunt and Australian rugby now face.

With Reg on the sidelines I step in to the hot seat and do my best Nick Frisby impersonation- a solid but ultimately uninspiring performance in a gritty team podcast. Get stuck in:

  • Alan Grouse

Is there an option to download it gents?

  • hugh

Congratulations to @Braveheart on your wedding.

    Welcome to Club Wed.

    Good work guys.
‘Simmons the only calling lock in Australia’
I really don’t like hearing this. Nothing against Simmons But geez talk about having some leverage come selection time. It’s a bit ridiculous.
To think that if a guys form is not up to scratch But you gotta pick him because there’s no one else on a National level!?!
This could be a topic in itself.

Who are the other line out callers? Where are all the calling locks?

  • Pedro

Just to clarify the Brumbies beat the Chiefs twice last year.

  • Bill

So Nick Styles is shit at setpiece? Is that the message, because last year the reds were supposedly the lightweight scrum in our conference, yet they shoved all our boys around.
