Prodigal son Justin Harrison will make is return to the Brumbies, and Super Rugby, starting at lock this Friday night against the
Western Force in Perth. Coach Andy Friend as named Harrison it would seem largely to improve on the below par line-out display the Brumbies exhibited in their last trial against the Waratahs.
Other new signings for the year Rocky Elsom, Matt Giteau and Pat McCabe have also been named to start however the word on the street is that Giteau is highly unlikely to play meaning young Matt Toomua is set to start in the 10 jersey. McCabe has been named on the wing, opposite Franky Fainifo and ahead of Alfi Mafi whilst Stirling Mortlock returns to ‘first class’ rugby in his favoured Out-side Centre position.
In the pack, Wallaby Tight Head Prop, Ben Alexander, is rushed back into the starting side, however back at Loose Head where he played most of last year for the Brumbies. Guy Shepherdson remains at Tight Head as the Brumbies seek answers to their equally misfiring scrum.
The match will also feature the completion of Josh Valentine’s personal “Provincial Grand Slam” as he joins Scott Fava as the only Australian player to play for each of the professional Super 14 franchises. What chance a Rebels contract to complete the set next year?
Afupisa Taumoepeau will also travel to Perth with the team as the 23rd man.

Force by 9.
Harrison by 8 months.
interesting i didn’t write that comment.. someone’s masquerading as mudskipper again … its those mischievous pesky western force dudes do have a sense of humor… sometimes…
The Nigglemeister is back….
Brumbies by 7+.
Something tells me Giteau wont play.
Because tamooa isn’t slashed in on any bench position.
The brumbies will win regardless.
Harrison sinbinning within 10 minutes.
Harrison to throw 8 punches and 10 elbows (subtle ones) and the Ponies to win by plenty.
Is there a better back-row in provincial rugby?
Yep, Palu Waugh and Mum. (im trying not to smile) still 1 out of three isnt bad. However the Force are going to give it to the Brumbies upfront this weekend. Smith looks like he is going to need a few games to get back into shape.
Brumbies to win by 10+ even without Gits
Back row is awesome but I think the Crusader may also have somethings to say about best backrow
Richie McCaw
Kieran Read
Thomas Waldrom
Brumbies by 15+, Gits to play.
It is, at the very least, the best back 3 in S14. Could you find a more mobile back three all playing for the same team?
Before you all start, that was meant to be “the equal best back three”
Justin Harrison is a racist b*&^stard.
Apparently he was the real source of the onfield abuse several seasons ago against a Chumani Booi that Grey got pinged with.
There is acceptable niggle and then there is bigotry…
