      Matt used Bob Dwyer’s team list ;-) …but seriously, Higgers wasn’t in the starting XV & came off the bench when Douglas was subbed for concussion.

          And the only wallabies game I would give higgers a thumbs up for. It may never happen again.

        Fair enough Matt but if a player is replaced so early in the game,as Kane was, surely a dispensation can be made for his replacement

          Yeah, I know what you’re saying – but when do you make the cutoff to put a sub in the ranking rather than the start off – 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 mins?

          And then if you put the subs in as well you get guys playing for 10 mins and getting big votes (imagine what Higgers would have got 6 months ago….)

          No perfect solution – but the run on side is the run on side

          Should be most time on ground. Give a guernsey to the sub who was on for more than 40 min where the starter wasn’t.

    How does Slipper continue to rate so well?? Yes his round the ground play is quite good but half his job is the set piece and he is hopeless. Despite the general dislike for Robinson on this site, the scrum was again powerful as soon as he joined the team on the field.

    Having said that, I agree he needs to get his general play back up to his old standards but for me, I’d take him any day in the pack against someone who costs us a penalty every scrum.

    And Taps above McCabe?? Give me a break. Taps bombed a try, knocked a few on and was nowhere near the threat in defence as McCabe. And that’s certainly not to say I don’t see a future for taps – but he needs more experience.

      Threat in defence ? That’s gold. Player ratings seem pretty fair but lets be honest, the Pumas blew a couple of what should have been, pretty straight forward opportunties to score tries with overlaps and an open try line, with passes that would have seen them fail kindergarten.

      Against the boks, robbo and slipper paired up and got a good shove on, against the pumas robbo and alexander paired up and got a good shove…bit of a trend here. So slipper is better in general play than alexander at the moment so go with slipper instead of alex.

    Bit harsh on Douglas. They guy only played less than 10min before losing his head. Should have put Higgers in to be ranked instead as he was essentially the starting player.
