How the Wallabies Performed in the June Tests

Top 5 are all brisbane boys (Poey, Barnes, Sharpe, Genia, Ioane at time of voting). A union state of origin would be as farsicle as league. 7 in a row would happen every 7 years.

    • RedMan

RJ, while I agree that a Union State of Origin would be an interesting thing to watch, I’d be careful about making statements like “all from Brissy” without clarifying what you mean. You’ll bring the crazies out in a spiteful rant.

While they all played Queensland GPS school boy rugby, out of that 5, only Barnes was born in Queensland. Sharpe and Barnes technically didn’t play their school boy rugby for a Brisbane school (The Southport School and Ipswich Grammar).

But, that’s the great thing about rugby. It’s played all over the world and regardless of where you go or where you’re from, you’ll be accepted (unless you come from the Waratahs :P).

    • ooaahh

3 of those guys aren’t even born in Australia let alone Queensland.

      • RJ

Well actually Origin rules are where you played your first rugby. To be honest I saw a good opportunity to stir up the roaches. Worked a treat. Thanks guys.

Going purely on the last 15 selected for the Wallabies, a State of Origin Union side would have the resulted in 5 NSW in the pack with the other 3 Qlders. 3 Qlders in the backs with the other 4 NSW.

      That’s 9 – 6 to NSW.

        Not surprising…

I just want to know who the two twits were that voted down Pocock, Genia, Barnes and Shape.

    • Larkhage

      Probably the realist

    • muffy

      trolls mate …trolls

    • D.

Pocock has to be Hooper’s family, Sharpie’s I’d guess Dennis’ family & I guess nick white’s family on the genia boos…….

    • murph

      Kiwis

  • Jimbo81

    who is voting for McCabe??????????

There is a massive elephant in the room in the Wallabies. Why is that pathetic excuse for a ruby player allowed anywhere near the Wallabies? JOKE!

    • bill

McCabe didn’t get any favours last year by being blooded early by the coaches, he’s a better player this year.

      • murph

He might or might not be better this year than he was last year but he was crap last year which makes him only slightly less crap this year. His ongoing selection at 12 is a complete joke.

  • TSR

Yeah, thats right Jimbo. How could 2/3 of us get it so wrong.

  • James

think we are bit harsh on simmons. he may not have set the world on fire, but he was decent, solid, whatever similar adjective you want to use.

to be between horne and vuna. FFS that’s a bit rich.

  • Scarfman

Can’t believe Genia was top rated yesterday – pleased to see some sanity today. He was the worst player on the field in the game we lost. Next time our breakdown is under pressure (vs RSA, NZL, ARG) let’s have another go at ranking him.

    • Brax

I didn’t realise the Scottish test was the one we were focusing on in this vote. Better mark em all down on that one!

    • Brax

In fact I just re-read the first paragraph & Matt is asking us to rate for the Welsh test series. Genia was easily one of our best 3 players in those games, if not the best! I can’t believe anyone would suggest otherwise.
