    • Garry

      :D

Who would have been a better choice?

  • Youngun

stupid school network has the live update blocked can someone keep me updated please?
    thanks

  • Ooaahh

Good to see Joc could make it tonight

    • D.

Not sure if he’ll make it to training tomorrow though.

      • Garry

        :D

Does it matter if he doesn’t? He’s already lost his spot. Would they kick him out of the squad?

  • The Rant

can we get a breakdown of the points per game? Bit surprised Horwill could catch up so much. How many games does this cover?

    • Patrick

About 10; Spring tour, Samoa and 3N. there are 66 votes up for grabs each game.

      • Garry

Then big Kev made up some ground fast. Just one more game might have done it?

      • The Rant

where does 66 come from? (one more time for the slow kid)

        • Better Red Than Ted

66 is the most any single player can get in one match – 22 players (on field team plus bench) x 3 votes. They also award 2 points and 1 point per game, so there’s actually 132 points on offer each game.

Maybe the G&GR stats machine can leap into action, give us some stat-porn and tell us the standard deviation (if that’s the right term, long time since stats course) of the results compared to other years. It seems like quite a tight spread, i.e. more players closer to each other in the votes.

  • The Goosh

Great recognition for his freakish abilities… Look forward to watching him play in the World Cup.

    • Garry

And there’s been talk of benching him to get JOC in the team. We forget but he has been in great form. Freakish at times.

Looking forward to him reeking havoc on those Nth’ers during the cup.

Congrats KB. Very few would say undeserved winner.

      • Patrick

Talk by who?? Not anyone who might be making any decisions!

        • Garry

          rumblings in the forum.

Decision makers? Isn’t GGR where the WB decision makers come to seek direction?

    • The Rant

Just check out the youtube highlights video of KBs years in the Joeys 1st XV… Absolute freak!!

  • Zuriel

Is anyone surprised that Cooper wasn’t even in the top 10???????????

    • The Rant

Only aussies can….haha just jokes, calm down.

they mentined he ‘couldnt’ win it…suspension related maybe?

      • Garry

        Only Aussies can? Why?

It’s not the Presidential elections……he’s just a very naught boy.

    • Patrick

maybe that is more about the rest of the team than about QC itself – some pretty serious contenders for a World XV in the top 5, at least. Possibly 4 of them shoe-ins?

    • Brax

There were a lot of other players that didn’t make the top ten either….. Whats you point in singling out Cooper? Just another hater I suppose.

      • The Rant

Chill brax, its a fair question given coopers the star of the show these days.

  • Darkhorse

Really… Quade Cooper not in the top ten. That’s interesting.

  • Dougs

    Rob Horne was robbed.

    • murph

      Ok Dingo. It’s only sport…

    • RedMan

You can’t get points for pulling off the best-looking Robbie Deans arse-hat.

  • Bones

Geez McCabe must have polled big – am I right in thinking that he only played the 3N games in 2011? that means he pulled 16 and a bit points per match that he played!!

    • Patrick

+ Samoa at least, where he was practically MoM

  • Pedro

Is there an extended list? I wanna see how many points gits got. Could be interesting.

    • RedMan

Yes, I’m surprised that someone who says “Shut the fuck up, I’m the captain” doesn’t poll well amongst his peers.

      • Pedro

Yeah but he didn’t play 4 of 10, I reckon he wouldn’t have polled well either, I just want to know how poorly…

  • Quickhands

Thoroughly deserved for Gilbert but also would have really liked to have seen Squeaky get it and glad to see he was so close. He is just so consistently effective…..

  • ozrugbynut

Dissappointed Moore didn’t get over the line and gained the credit he deserves. In my mind he’s been the most consistent forward of the past few years, always giving 110. To keep a player like TPN out, you’d have to.
