Podcast 315 – Pocket Rockets (feat. Richard Tombs) (2019 Rugby World Cup Weeks Three-Four)

The Pool stages are over, and quarterfinals are upon us.

The first of a few special podcasts this week, Matt and Hugh were joined by Waratah and Wallaby legend Richard Tombs to talk about the best games of the pool stages, where the Wallabies are currently placed, and what bodes ahead for the upcoming quarter final clash with England.

The Five Burning Questions

1. The Japan Victory – was that the match of the World Cup?
2. How would you rate the Wallabies pool performances out of 10?
3. How confident are you about the Quarter Final?
4. What do we need to do to beat England?
5. What other QF are you looking forward to?

Matt “thats when teams are really fit” (re offloads to players etc) I’d say that’s when teams have cohesion, something we’ve lacked. especially when it’s a new 10 every game

Something I like about this podcast is that we have an outside expert saying the same thing that everyone on GAGR is saying about coaching. Proving it’s not just some massive piece of groupthink.
